O.K., it's official...I am old. Well, not as old as Marsha Brady (Maureen McCormick) who turned 50 years old today. Happy Birthday, and thanks for making me feel a bit older...NOT! It is hard to believe one of the
Brady kids hit the big 5-0. Thanks for the fond childhood memories. It was pretty bad acting, and the plots were as transparent as a window pane, but I loved those shows all the same. There was a time when I could recite the dialogue almost verbatim. Ah, the good old days.

Honestly, I thought most of the Brady kids were older than that by now. The last time I saw Barry Williams I thought he was at least 55. Oh well, Happy Birthday Maureen! May you not need rhinoplasty.

Years ago I saw an interview with Florence Henderson (who must be in her 70s, but is still trying to look 50) who said she thought the show was so popular because it was wholesome and showed a family trying to solve its problems. I think I laughed right out loud at that one - the show is popular because it is the definition of cheesy - we're talking cheddar-stuffed-with-mozzorella-topped-with-swiss cheesy, and completely unrealistic.

Why is it always Marcia, Marcia, Marica? Where's the Eve Plumb birthday thread?
Happy Birthday Maureen. I can't believe she's turning 5-0. I feel old.
Isn't she scheduled to be on the next Celebrity Fit (Fat?) club?
Watch out for flying footballs. Oh my nose!

Lol! I have an older sister about her age & her name is Martha. We tease her because "it's always about Martha, Martha, Martha."

....
I'll have to call her about this thread, she'll get a kick out of it.

Ah, the Bradys... my favorite TV family ever. I'm certain I've seen every episode a minimum of 50 times each. From Mrs. Marcia Dentist to Phil Packer to Harvey Klinger to George Glass to Aunt Jenny to Cousin Oliver and Alice's one-time flame Mark Mallard... I loved them all.

I know Barry Williams turned 50 at least 2 years ago. There was a *somewhat* big VH1 thing for him when he turned 50. His career is rather sad. I was watching TV not too long ago and there was a commercial for a Grand Opening of some new Sam's Club or Wal Mart or one of those big-box stores in a city down the road. The tag line at the end said, "Come meet actor Barry Williams, TV's Greg Brady." Yikes... not the greatest gig in the world.

I used to like to play a game with my brothers where, as soon as the show starts, we all try to be the first one to quote the last line of that particular show exactly.
Like "But I think the saddest part of all was when Jan said 'Who Goes There?' before Peter said 'Hark!'"

OMG! I thought only my brother and me played games with dialogue from The Brady Bunch. We used to really get our mom angry when we would start to recite lines just before the character said them. Mom just couldn't understand our facination with this show. It didn't help that my mother is named Marsha! We took full advantage of that fact.

If y'all are such big fans y'all would know it's "Marcia" not "Marsha."

Oh I'm so glad someone else mentioned that.
