Full Version: College Pick'em 2006 -- Week Fourteen
Outsports Discussion Board > Outsports > Football, College
DCBucky
It was an easy job deciding which games to add to the contest this week. There are only 17 games total -- so all 17 are here. But that means you have to pick from the likes of Louisiana-Monroe and New Mexico State. I included those teams' overall records to give you more of an edumacated guess -- how knew, for example, that Florida International was 0-11? (let's make that going on 0-12).

Again, there is the usual Thursday evening game and one on Friday.

The Rules:
1. Pick the winner in each game.

2. Predict how many points the team you pick to win the designated Game of the Week will win by. This will be used for tiebreak purposes. This week it is the SEC Championship between Arkansas and Florida.

3. The first pick is needed by the kickoff of the first game -- Thursday evening.

4. Picks must be submitted either via the Private Message function or E-mail. My email address is dcbucky2000@hotmail.com -- please do not post your picks here. Include your Outsports nickname with your picks.

Fresno State-San Jose State a "filler game"? tongue.gif The Spartans are going bowling this year! How can that be a filler?

In all seriousness, this is the 71st meeting and the longest rivalry for both schools. The last time SJSU beat the Bulldogs was 1990, which, ironically, is also the last year the Spartans went to a bowl.

I've been too busy to send in my picks

and after what I've seen this week, that isn't a bad thing
Boltergeist
USC and UCLA just got offsettings for both benches woofing at each other and coming on the field (although there were no altercations)
Boltergeist
UCLA intercepts with 1:11 left, Bruins are 1 first down from spoiling the Trojans.
Boltergeist
Perez's punt in the final :15 = NCAA kick of the year.

That game was awesome.

I <3 UCLA

10-0
NoLongerHere
Think I went 12-7 ...or somewhere thereabouts.
Hope that puts me in good company and toward the top of this week's picks!

Most of us missed, of course, ucla's upset of the other USC. And Louisiana-Monroe slaying Louisiana-Lafayette along with SDS over CO-State.

With that zeno wins the week with a 14-3 score.

14-3 zeno
