Neoconservatives want to save America from Americans who would see it dragged down into the cesspools of liberalism. That is their key goal all along.

They envision an America where the government invades not on a woman's womb but everyone's bedroom as well. The neocons see an America where we are safe from terrorism by sharply curtailing the freedoms to travel and to criticize the government at will. The America they desire is the one where the right to know what we are being charged with if we are arrested (AKA: habeas corpus) is eliminated in the name of freedom for everyone else.

Yes, that is why neoconservatives and some conservatives hate Americans. They hate those who would disagree with their skewed vision of America. They despise those who do not adopt their brand of "liberty".
