Former President George H. Bush broke into tears defending and praising his son Jeb, saying he'd make a great president.
I don't know if that means a whole lot. Jeb seems slightly more competent than his brother. But not by too much in my opinion.

I suppose a fathers pride in a sons achievements is natural but please God, can the US and the world survive another Bush presidency?!? I wonder if he will shed tears of pride or shame when Dubya leaves the White House?

From what I understand, I thought it to be that Jeb was supposed to be the sun that was groomed for the higher political exploits, but somehow little Georgie got in on the fun too and surprisingly eventually slid into the Presidency.
Probably a nice moment of honesty, but I am just sick of the family except that Jeb's son George P. Bush (I think is his name) is quite striking.

Why is this even a news story? Because the former president cried? Boo-freakin'-hoo. He'll have something to really cry about when GWB is charged with war crimes. The idea of another Bush idiot running anything larger than a hotdog stand is impossible for me to accept. Take all that you've stolen and be off to some dark corner of Texas. No wait, I don't want to insult Texans. Be off to that warm corner of hell that awaits all idiots named Bush.

What he SHOULD be crying over is that the total cost of the Iraq quagmire said to top $ ONE TRILLION dollars.

After seeing this in more detail last night, it would be my belief that the ultimate reason he broke down in tears is because little George has obliterated any hope or chance that Jeb (the somewhat more competent politician) has of getting into the White House. It was apparently always Bush the First's hope that Jeb would succeed where he had failed.
Now it would would appear that our Imperious President has bulldozed over any legacy that any Bush could have on American politics. That would be a more likely reason for Bush the First to have the sob session he did in public, knowing that the failures of the family black sheep (W) has killed the chances for the prodigal son (Jeb).

My understanding is that the black sheep (georgie) was never supposed to be the one to hit the white house. Jeb's no great loss though as people in Florida could tell ya - just as much a trouble magnet as his bro...when will this family go away!!!!!!!!!

Much as Christ has his anti-Christ, the Kennedy family has an anti-Kennedy family. They're called the Bush's.
