While it's all but been decided that Troy Smith will walk off with the award the finalists were announced today. Only Brady Quinn of Notre Dame and Arkansas RB Darren McFadden will join him in New York for Saturday's presentation.

I like those 3 as finalists although I would've voted
Smith-McFadden-Brennan

I would have voted for Quinn over Smith. His stats are better, he played the tougher schedule, his offensive line was terrible, his potential All American tight end was injured, and he led his team to multiple 4th quarter comebacks. At least he won the Unitas Award for "character, citizenship, scholastic achievement, leadership qualities and athletic accomplishments," which frankly sounds a hell of a lot better than the Heisman criteria.
