It would appear that Pittsburgh was able to finally generate their ground game to beat their vaunted rivals, the Cleveland Browns. By what I keep reading, Bill Cowher's coaching tenure is likely on the line with how well this season does or does not turn out. So far, he would appear to be settling back down for Pittsburgh, even though his family lives in North Carolina now.

Hopefully, he will be able to stick it out in Steel Town with Roethlisberger and company!

I thought he was definitely leaving after this season (winning or not) -- isn't his contract up?

Didn't catch last night's game -- don't subscribe to that damn NFL Network -- but sounded like it was a thumpin'

Jacksonville still has a pulse in the playoff race. Taylor and Jones-Drew both torched the Colts for 100 yds rushing in the first half

The Colts apparently really came up small. It seems clear that this will be yet another year without Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl.

Ladell Betts had 171 yards rushing against the Eagles. rolleyes.gif Yet the Eagles managed to not blow a 21-3 lead, even though it was 21-19 and the Redskins had first-and-goal at the three.

It'll be a miracle if they beat either the Giants or Cowboys, so the only thing today's win really means for the Eagles is that they'll likely still be mathematically alive at 7-8 going into the final game vs. Atlanta at the Linc. There's a good chance that 8-8 will be enough for a wild card.

The Saints beat the Cowboys quite handily. The Dolphins dispose of the Patriots. The Titans win their fourth game in a row. Today seemed to be the day of the upset in many quarters of the NFL. I'm glad the anointing oil has been put away for the Colts. I'd like to think that everyone has to earn their way into the playoffs, even the vaunted Bears with the their lack of offense.
