I don't exactly know just how much freedoms we enjoy under the threat of martial law at a moment's notice, with our freedoms diminished because of this "threat" of terrorism (perceived, actual or otherwise), and with those very 10 amendments under assault because of the substantial disembowelment of the writ of habeas corpus. Pardon me if I take this somber moment to reflect on just exactly how we got into the mess and precisely the individual(s) responsible for leading us here.
