Rosie Slams Trump, The Donald Fires Back!

Here we go again. Its like every week she's getting into some kind of celebrity brawl with someone. rolleyes.gif Donald, however didn't have to make it personal by his comment that "I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie." On the flip side...the man is defending himself on brash criticism from the abrasive Rosie. I hope he does sue her...just for the hell of it. Rosie has done a lot of good things but that doesn't mean it gives her license to act like she has no home training.

I'm sorry but I have to take Rosie's side on this one.I can't stand Donald Trump and his pompous, arrogant ,self-centered,personality.Probably the only reason he is defending Miss USA is because he has dillusions of making her the next Mrs.Trump. BARF! I'd like to sue him just for getting on my nerves.

Talk about 2 people you wish would just shut up already! They're both egotistical loudmouths. She's saying all this controversial stuff to boost The View's ratings. He's doing this stuff to boost ratings for The Apprentice and this lame-assed pageant. It's like trying to choose who is the bigger skank-Lindsay Lohan, paris Hilton or Britney Spears.

But what the hell was with that press conference The Donald had yesterday? All the media there, all the flashes going off-you'd have thought Trump had brokered a deal for peace in Iraq, discovered a cure for AIDS and impregnated his wife with octuplets all in the same day. This dopey story was actually the lead story on one of the local 5 o'clock newscasts.

All of this uproar is useless. It's like trying come up with who is the biggest bonehead in the Bush regime: Cheney, Rummy, Condi, or our Imperious President himself? There's no correct answer because they're all ignorant tools. Same here, with both Donald and Rosie being arrogant caricatures of themselves now.

True...and I agree...they are both egomaniacs. And speaking of that obnoxious press conference, could Donald have had on anymore foundation? It was out of control.
UCLAfan
He had so much foundation that I thought he could've had cement on his face and gotten the same effect.
TheOtherFSU
As Jimmy Kimmel said, after seeing The Donald at that press conference, it appears he got more than just his tree flocked. Did you see that hair? It was bad enough when it was an orange comb over but now it's suddenly a silver and white flocked comb over? That thing was scary.

With Rosie I think its about 90% done for ratings. From what I understand the ratings for " The View" since Rosie came on board are way, way, way up. Barbara must be very pleased. Not a day goes by that either Rosie or "The View" aren't mentioned.
Chill-Trick
I am also taking Rosie's side on this. Sure she has a big mouth and shouldn't have said what she did, but remember, this stuff happens during "Hot Topics" on The View. News Items are discussed, then they throw in their own opinions. And honestly, Rosie is 100% right. He (Trump) is up there being the decider of this woman's fate judging her social actions. After he-as she stated- has been divorced twice and cheats on his spouses and is a complete womanizer. She was stating facts about him in which his is in control of what choice to make "Should I cheat, or should I be faithful"

And for him to come back and act like a 4 yr old with “Yeah, she’s fat and ugly”, etc… just shows how much of a f**ktard he is. I do wonder though, Rosie stated facts, and of course threw in the “he’s no role model” opinion while Donald lashed back with personal attacks, and lies…her talk show did not fail and it was the magazine company that failed the magazine, not her…Can she sue him? God I hope so.

Look I hate these stupid pageants. Complete waste of time. But the botom line is that these girls know the rules that come with these titles. Comparing Trump's behavior to this girl's is off the mark. Trump didn't sign any morality clauses. He's a slime, but he's not contractually obligated to live his life as a role model. Miss USA is supposed to behave in a certain way. Trump paid alot of money for these pageants and he has every right to demand that the winners follow the rules of their contracts. If it weren't for Trump, the pageant likely would have gone bankrupt. Trump is her "boss", therefore he, like any of our bosses, can have the "Do as I say, not as I do" attitude all he wants. And from the way I know Rosie treats her employees, this is truly a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The girl gets scholarship money, a free NYC apartment for a year, a tacky tiara and lots of other stuff. In exchange, she is obligated to make appearances representing the Miss USA organization. Seems like an easy gig to me. All she had to do was go one year without getting shitfaced (underage at that) and acting like one of those bimbos from Girls Gone Wild.

I doubt the girl is an alcoholic and probably doesn't need rehab. But Trump had every right to call her out for her behavior.

Advertising Age had a story a couple of weeks ago on the November sweeps ratings for "The View," and you are correct. In November, the show had its highest ratings in the show's 10-year history and broke all sorts of records in key demos. The records were things like highest single month viewership, biggest gains in the 18-49 demo, biggest gains among men, and it even set all-time records for its time slot (regardless of what show had been on in the past) in several major cities. Since this occurred in the valuable sweeps ratings that determine advertising dollars for the networks, you can bet both Barbara and ABC are pleased. Rosie has made "The View" watchable again and, most importantly, the show is being discussed everywhere.

It's no surprise to me that Donald Trump and the Miss USA organization are reeling. Everything the man touches turns to crap. This reminds me of when he tried to blame Martha Stewart for the ratings of his own "Apprentice" show last year. He hand-picked Martha Stewart to have her own "Apprentice" show and then he blames her for his own lousy ratings. Bill Rancic, the first winner of Trump's show, parted with Trump before even completing the task for which he was hired and was quoted in various publications as saying he was unable to work with Trump. Multiple bankruptcies, multiple marriages and affairs, and thought of as an unscrupulous bully by those who have worked closest with him... that's Donald Trump. For him to think a coke-snorting, underage-drinking, constantly-partying Miss USA entering rehab in the middle of her reign is the right image to project says a lot about him.

Also this week, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) severed its long-standing ties with the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA organizations, citing the underage drinking of both current title-holders.

Raise your hand if you knew what state Miss USA was from this year. Hell, raise your hand if you knew that Trump and the pageant were even connected. I didn't. But I do now. And here we are talking about it. Looks like everybody got what they wanted...

So now the latest, SURPISE!!, Trump says he is going to sue Rosie, and that he will "send someone to get her ( Rosie's) girlfriend"...........what a soap opera.... rolleyes.gif
TheOtherFSU
The Donald has lost it. "I'll sue her because it would be fun," was what he said about Rosie. That man is unbelievable.

Now that's a court case I'd love to see. "Your honor, Rosie said things about me that are true. Please make her pay me millions."
mdterp01
LOL....this even made Pardon the Interruption. Mike Wilbon is on "The Donald's" side and Kornyheiser is on Rosie's side. I don't know how anyone could be on Donald's side after what he said. I hadn't heard the complete elementary school tirade he went on about Rosie being unattractive and how he'd send a friend to go get her partner Kellie. I mean come on Donald. Further, "The Donald" is gonna be on Larry King Live tonight discussing this issue. However, what does Donald's net worth or financial history have anything to do with the situation in the Miss USA pageant?

Ok if Rosie wanted to talk about his own "moral" history then I can get that because the man doesn't have a leg to stand on in trying to defend himself there. But what does the fact that he may or may not have filed for bankruptcy have anything to do with the Miss USA situation? So she took it to a realm that wasn't even necessary. So for that...if I were Donald I would have responded back regarding that...in a much more mature way. And to sue her....ehhh...I know I said he should at the start but the way he reacted...whatever Donald. I'm sick of BOTH of them. I wish they'd BOTH go away!! Thats pretty much the opinion of everyone I saw in a poll that was released that asked whose side you were on (Rosie, Donald, or I wish they'd both go away). I clicked the latter. This is ridiculous!! But yes, the ratings for the View are through the roof and in entertainment, ratings are pretty much all that matters. But good grief...put a muzzle on both of them!! mad.gif

More trouble for the Miss USA organization today:

QUOTE
LAS VEGAS, NEV. (AP) -- Katie Rees, Miss Nevada USA, was fired Thursday and forced to relinqish her crown, following lurid revelations in the Miss USA organization, the Associated Press has learned.

"Katie has been relieved of her duties effective immediately as Miss Nevada USA 2007," said Paula M. Shugart, president of the Donald Trump-led Miss Universe Organization, which owns the Miss USA pageant and others. The firing centered around nude photos of Rees, according to sources.

Rees' dismissal comes two days after Miss USA Tara Conner was allowed to keep her tiara after she admitted underage drinking at New York bars and agreed to go into rehab and undergo drug testing.

Pageant officials declined to provide a telephone number for Rees and said they didn't know when the photos of her were taken. Rees' attorney, Mario Torres, of Tampa, defended the blonde beauty queen in a statement sent to the entertainment television show Extra.

"Katie Rees Miss Nevada USA wants the public to know she was 17 and had a lapse in judgment," he said.

I have to say that both are full of themselves but Rosie is not even in Donald's league when it comes to being full of themselves. Donald Trump makes Terrell Owens look humble. No jury in this world is going to feel sorry for Donald Trump if he sues. Rosie said some things she probably should have not said. But Donald crossed a line when he mentioned he would send someone to get Rosie's wife. What sympathy I had for Donald went out the window with those comments.
millerbeach
Great analogy, Aaron. I agree wholeheartedly. While Rosie can be shrill and annoying, who the heck is Trump to act as the moral compass for the country? Then to threaten Rosie's lover? Unbelieveable. If anything happens to her, Donald could be charged! Where the heck was his legal team while he was shooting off his mouth? The whole beauty pagent thing is ignorant, anyway.
coachjw
I'm not on Donald's side but I'm beginning to think that Rosie is annoying. I didn't comment on the whole Rosie-Kelly-Clay situation, which I thought was blown out of proportion. (I wouldn't want someone's hand touching my face or covering my mouth, especially since I didn't know where it'd been...) Rosie made this huge deal about Kelly being homophobic, which I found ridiculous. Had Rosie not made fun of Trump and only made a passing comment, he may not have responded and there would be no uproar (of course, this is probably not true but...). Personally, I'm laughing at both sides (Rosie and Donald). Still, Rosie is annoying. I didn't always feel this way.
TheOtherFSU
After seeing The Donald on Larry King Live tonight, I honestly believe the man needs serious psychological help. The amount of rage he has inside is alarming. He took credit for the increased ratings on The View by saying that the ratings only increased because they always talk about him. I have never seen anyone so self-absorbed in my life. He said that the women of The View called Danny Devito an alcoholic and he said that Devito showed up on the set completely sober and was a comic genius. Anyone who saw that show knows that Devito was drunk. In fact, even Barbara Walters said Devito called her up and apologized for his behavior. And for The Donald to call anyone ugly is unfathomable. He obviously doesn't own a mirror. He seems as troubled personally as his Miss USA contestants, who are dropping like flies these days with personal problems.
J eddie
I'd like to go back to the good ole days when millionaires were far more reclusive.I personally agree with everything Rosie said about Donald. Most poor people have more class in their big toe than this man has in his entire body.In other words wealth and class do not necessarily go hand in hand and Trump is living proof.I guess it's too late for charm school.CAN'T STAND HIM! mad.gif
hockeyTom
I caught the interview before my Zags basketball game. Did you hear Trump claim that Barbara (Walters) is supposedly sick and tired of Rosie and unhappy with Rosie and yadda yadda yadda?? Todays rating for "The View" I should imagine would be HUGE!
UCLAfan
I said it before and I'll say it again: This is a waste of space. Rosie is on her soapbox and has too much time on her hands to opine, touching off yet another feud with the Donald. Honestly, if they both eliminate each other from the airwaves, I'd be satisfied. biggrin.gif
Bryan
I agree with with theotherFSU...Donald is off his rocker! He's unbelievably angry and full of rage which leads me to believe Rosie hit a nerve with the inheritance stuff. Rosie made fun of the comb-over which is pretty bad but Donald went so personal, so hard, and honestly, so inaccurately - it just leads me to believe that everything Rosie said is true. Donald is the most pompous a****** imaginable.
Rosie's absolutely right when she says that Donald in no way should be the moral compass for anyone. Of course Donald made a completely homophobic statement when he pointed at Rosie and said that she was a completely mess morally - obviously referring to her dyke status. What a joke all this is and yes, they both should shut up. But it is the View, it was Hot Topics and Rosie's comments made sense. Even Larry King sort of laughed at a lot of what Donald said....Trump is the reason people hate New Yorkers sometimes..
SFJohn
I always go back to Donald Trump's last appearance on "The View" when he actually said, while talking about his daughter Ivanka, that he would date her if she wasn't his daughter. After all, he said, "she's got a nice figure."

Trump is an idiot. Plain and simple. And he hates assertive women. His comments regarding his former Apprentice co-host Carolyn, Martha Stewart and now Rosie tell of a man who can not handle women who speak up and stand up to him. He belittles women all the time. When a reporter recently told him that his wife looked great after losing all the baby weight, Trump said she still needed to lose "four pounds."

I agree with the others on here. Rosie's words struck a nerve inside him and he knows it all true so it hurts him even more. He's an arrogant media whore who had to point out to Larry King last night that his new season of "The Apprentice" premieres in two weeks. Convenient timing for him to go on his tirade.

Trump calling Rosie a "bad person" yesterday is laughable. My neighbor's Goddaughter was a part of Rosie's Broadway Kids, an organization Rosie founded to help underprivileged and inner city youth in New York City achieve excellence through arts and education. These kids could never have afforded the program on their own (and it's available to them cost-free) thanks to Rosie contributing over $10 million of her own money to fund it. It's a great program. And Trump is right... she's just a horrible person for giving $10 million to help kids.
hockeyTom
Personally I think the Donald, gets off on his name being on the top of the news programs whenever possible. Last night he seemed to take a bit of delight when he mentioned being on the cover of Forbes magazine. If its one thing I really dsilike, its celebrities flaunting their (alleged) wealth.....poor taste in my opinion. sad.gif
TheOtherFSU
How about the fact that The Donald made a point of telling Larry, "I'm calling you from my private jet," at least three different times?
sportinlife
Interesting sociological aspect to this little tiff-cum-possible lawsuit: the man thinks the greatest insult to a woman is one concerning her body whereas the woman thinks the greatest insult to a man is one concerning his wallet.

Seems as much like a battle of the sexes as anything else.

That aside, Trump does represent the worst case scenario of how a society's money can be wasted.
Tennis Guy
Hmmmm....let's see....The View wants ratings and the new season of The Apprentice is about to start. It's just so strange how all this happened right about now!

rolleyes.gif
hockeyTom
You got it. Trump is feeding into this all the way up to the lead off for his show. Rosie has been very very quiet about this on "The View", but I understand things are quite different on her blog.
UCLAfan
Oh, no! Now we have Ivanka, Donald's daughter from Ivana, joining the fray to diss Rosie. Not that I'm a big Rosie fan but I think this is just growing way out of proportion over nothing. Donald is way too sensitive over something that was really nothing to begin with. This is just sad and pathetic, watching these two fight it out over who can be the most ruthlessly annoying.

Trust me,Donald's cornered the market on annoying! I couldn't stand him before and I totally despise him now.It also sounds like he is discreetly trying to sneak in some homophobic barbs as well.I sincerely hope that every GLBT boycotts his show as well as contact him and let him know that we don't approve of his behavior. He has really gone way too far.
TheOtherFSU
Donald Trump is a sad, pathetic and lying piece of crap. And those are his good qualities!

Ivanka had to come out this week and resurrect the story because pop's next Apprentice premieres this weekend. The story had died down but the Trumps love publicity even more than they love money (or it's at least close).
Bryan
I was just starting to tolerate and perhaps like Trump with his Iraq war attitudes and forthright comments. Now with his venomous, relentless, sexist and homophobic attacks on Rosie, I despise him. He's the american archtype: bullying, ambitious purely out of ego, narcissistic, and terribly insecure. Go build some more worthless unneeded buildings, Donald.

The Donald made a very inappropraite threat about having someone come and take her "girlfriend" away. What an ass. Name-calling, I understand. Threatening one's family? I hate him for that.
George Twins fan
He wasn't threatening to "take her away" as in kidnap her; rahter he was implying that Kelly doesn't really love Rosie and it would be easy to get her away from Rosie.

Donald is a loudmouth and is saying outrageous things to get attention for The Apprentice. Rosie is a loudmouth and is saying outrageous things to get attention for The View. So far it's worked wonders for Rosie's show. We'll know tomorrow if it will work for Donald.

It's just kind of funny that both are seeking attention. Given the number of posts and the vitriol on either side, it seems to be working quite well. Nothing promotes a celebrity better than an overblown, fabricated feud.
Munson Man
Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell? I can't think of two people who deserve each other more. I say we give both of them loaded guns.
George Twins fan
Too bad that Celebrity Deathmatch show wasn't still on MTV. Remember they used to have claymation figures of celebrities beat the hell out of each other? Pretty funny and this "feud" is tailor-made for it.
TheOtherFSU
What's funny is that this isn't a feud at all. Rosie one day questioned why Donald Trump thinks he is the "moral compass" who should be deciding the fate of a pageant beauty queen who's been observed using drugs in public and drinking in public while underage. And after thinking long and hard about it, and holding two news conferences in which he said he was still thinking about what to do, Trump called a third news conference to announce that, "hey... when you think of a Miss USA winner, it's perfectly fine and normal for Miss USA to use drugs and drink while underage as long as she goes into rehab during her reign."

Rosie called him out on it, and rightly so. I think most people agree with her stance. And that was the end of it on her end... a five-minute mention during the Hot Topics section of The View. Her only other "comment" about the matter was the following day when she wrinkled her nose up when Trump's name was mentioned. She didn't even say his name.

On the other hand, Trump has repeatedly, for several weeks now and on a daily basis, called in to network TV shows to sling mud at Rosie. He sought out "Extra," "Entertainment Tonight," "Larry King Live," "The Howard Stern Show," "Good Day L.A.," "Fox New York" morning show, and countless others talking about how Rosie is "ugly," "fat," "a slob," "crazy," and other far worse things. He brings up her homosexuality and calls her "immoral" because of it. The man is a lunatic. It's no wonder his businesses fail left and right. It's no wonder Bill Rancic said he couldn't work with him after winning The Apprentice. It's no wonder Carolyn from The Apprentice left the show. It's no wonder he and Martha Stewart no longer speak when they were good enough friends at one point that she got her own Apprentice show.

Anyone who compares Rosie and Donald and thinks they're two peas in a pod is mistaken. Donald is incredibly intimidated by Rosie, who is far more respected in the entertainment industry than he is. He is a joke and I hope that his new season of The Apprentice fails miserably. If karma plays a part, he's in trouble. I, for one, would never watch that or anything he does again. Meanwhile, The View needs Rosie much, much more than Rosie needs The View.

I watched probably the first four weeks of the first season of The Apprentice and then I watched the finale that first season out of curiosity. And then I watched Martha Stewart's version because I like Martha. But never again will I watch anything involving Trump. I was having a discussion with a friend the other day and we were wondering... is that gigantic comb-over even real? I am of the belief that it's real because no one would actually purchase something so hideous, while my friend says it's a wig. It changed colors during his Miss USA fiasco... it went from orange one day to silver a few days later and then was back to brown-orange after that. That makes me think it could, indeed, be a wig and/or multiple colored wigs. I'm sure even the Locks of Love people would say, "Get that sh!t outta my face!," if he tried to present it to a child with cancer. However, Donald is such slime that he'd sell the thing on EBay first before ever doing something for someone in need.

And America has spoken...

Trump's Apprentice received its lowest ratings in history last night.

New Season of Apprentice Receives Low Ratings

QUOTE
LOS ANGELES -- Despite Donald Trump’s very public feud with ‘The View’s’ Rosie O’Donnell, the new season of his reality show The Apprentice - which premiered Sunday night - was a resounding disappointment in the ratings.

The Apprentice: Los Angeles ended up third in its time slot, its lowest ratings ever.

Ranking ahead of Trump was ABC’s Desperate Housewives and CBS’ Cold Case.

Bryan
theotherFSU - you summed it all up perfectly!

I'm glad the Apprentice failed so miserably on its first outing this season. Martha's version was actually much better as she stayed on message especially regarding branding, etc. I learned something from her show while the two episodes I saw of Donald's were more of an ego circus.

Rosie is so accomplished; how could anyone call her a failure? She's a true children's advocate and her presence on a major network show as an out lesbian is a worthy advance in our culture. Plus, she actually talks about herself the way "straight" people do...she's out and proud.

Donald's over.
CPT_Doom
Now there was also a report on the TV today (just caught a bit of it) that Playboy apparently wants Miss USA for their cover and Donald is considering the offer.

DONALD is considering the offer - what, is she his slave?

Drinking while 20 is wrong, but being in a porno mag is not?

Yeah, this guy is the height of morality.
mdterp01
While Rosie has done great things and I respect her for being out and proud, she still lacks class. I don't care how much good work you've done. It doesn't give you free reign to act like you have no home training. That whole making fun of Donald and swishing her hair over in a comb over thing was so childish. Both of them need to sit and spin.

Yeah, the Playboy story even sheds more light on Trump being a total loser. I was reading where he is the one mulling the offer because Playboy is going to pay him since he's the owner of the Miss USA pageant. Really it's not unlike selling these women into slavery when he controls the money and can decide on his own if he wants them in Playboy.

God he's a loser. But it's actually uplifting to know that his new show failed... as his business ventures all have too. Everything he touches is a joke. It's no wonder he had to put his son and daughter on his show... no one else wants to work with that ego-maniac!

And I loved the headline Media Life Magazine chose for Trump's miserable Apprentice failure last night:
