The Eagles are playing earlier...but I have no plans at all.

I'm planning a quick weekend trip with lots of drinking involved.

We host a party for people that have no where else to go...this year, it's up to 35-40 people. Good mix of people--gay and straight. Always fun to mix people together that would normally not be together. Everyone always has a good time.

Well after I decided that my hosting duties were over for the year and I would not be throwing a new year's party at our house, the boyfriend and I had decided to just keep it low key and have a romantic evening at home and ring in the new year doing some umm...extra-curricular activities. But, some of my fraternity brothers and their late inviting asses have rented a couple cabins up in Killington and we are gonna go up there to ski. At first we declined the invitation but then my boyfriend said he wanted to do it. I wanted to but co-signed on the decline because I thought he would've been upset if I asked him to change our plans. He really gets along with my fraternity brothers that I'm closest to and we haven't seen them in awhile. So...nothing spectacular. The plan is for all of us to be in one of the cabins and will probably just ring in 2007 watching Dick Clark, getting sauced, and playing games. I do plan, as I do every new year, to have two $20 bills...one in my left hand and one in my right hand. Its worked thus far so I'm gonna keep it up.

This is a first for me. I have no plans at all and it is really bothering me. I wanna just goof off on NYE, I don't have any plans.

I'm hosting a party with the roommates at our apartment. It will probably involve lots of alcohol, video games and loud music.

I haven't done anything special on New Year's Eve in a number of years now.

It's been a few years since I did anything either on New Year's Eve. I don't really care for that night. Sadly, this year, I've got to work. I'll be ringing it in with my co-workers, and wouldn't you know it, the cutie-pie co-worker with the Liz Taylor eyes won't be working that night. (Sigh). I guess I'll have to settle for the holiday pay. I sure hope everyone else has a good one, just don't do anything stupid.

I'm looking for something to do in San Francisco. I have a couple of defaults but if any of you wanna throw caution to the wind and do something silly send me a PM. My tux is pressed and ready.
Last few years my bf and I have had dinner with our best friends - straight married couple. We usually rent the worst movie we know (e.g., 'Showgirls'). Trouble is our friends are early risers and we haven't made midnight with them in years. My partner hates to be in bed before midnight but I have to admit we've slept the Eve in the last several years.

That's funny. There were about 5 years there in the mid/late 90's where we were never awake at midnight! One year, we were down in Key West with friends, and all of us were asleep by 11pm. They even shot fireworks off of the White Street Pier, which is a block from my friends' house. It sounded like they were shooting them off in their bathroom, but we just lay there and went back to sleep.
We started hosting the party in 2000.

NYE will be spent in Destin FL for me. I have a friend who is playing in a tennis tournament there. Nice weather and a great view from his condo, can't beat that with a stick. Then to watch the cotton bowl on new years day will be fantastic.

I am planning on a 16 mile run in the morning then my best friend lives in Delaware where I am for the holidays and he is having a party with some 30 people. That will be my big day.
Happy New Years!
