After tonights Sugar Bowl game, I'm not fan of Fox Sports and their broadcasts of College football. Its obvious most of the annouoncers are out of their element in the college game. They focus too much NFL draft status. It seems like they talked about 15 players tonight on where they thought they would be in the draft and what type of NFL player they would make. That's all fine and good, but they could use the itme to discuss college issues since this is college football's platform and time to shine.

Also, I attribute most NFL fans to be more the "common" blue collar slightly less educated fan. Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, and other Fox Announcers are appealing to their NFL/ SUnday demographic. However, the college game is a lot more complex and I think FOX should revamp their lineup and possibly hire college analysts from other networks. I'll take the Herbstriet's and other college football analysts ( even with their bias) from ABC, CBS, NBC, and ESPN over FOX's NFL crew anytime. The Fox Crew simply doesn't get college football and their more polished audience.

Fox's problem is that the BCS games are their only college games. Luring anyone from ABC/ESPN or CBS would involve getting a package of regular season football games.

It's almost the same thing with thier NFL announcing crews. As long as CBS has better carrots to dangle outside the NFL, CBS announcing crews will be better than Fox's.

I don't like the young guy who does the opening for the BCS games. His voice is nasal and grates on me...maybe it is just me.

I turn the sound down for at least 50% of the games I watch regardless of the network (ESPN is the worst), especially in the second half. I have no idea what makes most of the sports talking heads think we think they are interesting. They're more idiotic than not. Have you noticed that it takes a minimum of 4 people now to announce a game, not to mention the 3 additional studio sportscasters that pop in for halftime reports and such. (Ever wonder why our cable bills keep getting higher?)

Rather than having to yell "WOULD YOU JUST SHUT UP FOR GODSSAKE?" at the TV all day and risk the emotional and physiological consequences, I just TURN DOWN THE SOUND.

The FOX broadcasts can be summed up in 3 words: awful, awful, awful!
