The East coached by West Virginia's Rich Rodregueiz beat the West who was coached by Fresno State's Pat Hill 18-10 today in Hawaii.
The West led througout most of the game 10-3, but the East behind a last minute drive by Clemson's QB Will Proctor scored with 40 seconds left to make it a 10-9 West lead. West Coach Rodreguiez diagramed a 2-point play to perfection having Proctor scrambleleft and hit streaking WR Smith from Tennesesee in the right corner of the end zone to give the East a 2 pt conversion and 11-10 lead. After the West received outstanding field position close mid field on a great kick return, BOISE's QB Zabransky misfired as an East defender ( Alabama player) intercepted the pass and raced 50 yards for another East touchdown to make the score 18-10. To add insult to injury for Zabransky, he had one final attempt after another outstanding kickoff return and 15 yard personal foul that gave the West the ball at the East 35 yard line with 3 seconds remaining, but Zabransky after scrambling for 10 seconds after the snap failed to get his pass past the 15 yard line.
