Hi folks, there are good news out of Cologne, Germany:

"It's finally official: on January 15, 2005 SC Janus and the bidding team have forwarded the so-called "letter of intent" to the Federation of Gay Games (FGG). With the letter, which is part of the application procedure, Cologne announces its intention to take part in the bidding process to host the gay and lesbian sports and culture games in 2010."

Congratulations!!

I know that it takes a lot of hard work and dedicated people to get to the stage you are at and commend you all for it.

Good luck in your efforts to bring the Gay Games to Germany.

Sincerely

Ken MacDonald

Congratulations Cologne, on the bid.

I'm sure the bid alone will insure more Germans take an interest in the gay games.

When is the FGG decision re: bidding cities to be expected?

It`s expected in November 2005 (see press release FGG). We`re looking forward to going through this bidding-process!

In this matter, thanx for all the overwelming mails we get these days - Cologne and SC Janus tries its best to build up a fantastic bid, related on the principles of the Gay Games history & movement, solid financial structures and strength, passion and change.

We are happy to compete with our friends of the two excellent bidding cities, Johannesburg and Paris - may the best bid win!
