are there any out there that don't taste nasty

Most of them are pretty awful. I really like Cliff bars but they only have about 10 grams of protein. Zone bars aren't bad and neither are South Beach bars.

I like the Clif Builder's bars. They have 20g of protein and they taste better than anything else I've tried. I stick with the chocolate (I'm a chocoholic), but they also have peanut butter, cookies & creme, and a chocolate mint. Give them a try.

And have little to no sugar? I'm looking for ones that have 5g of sugar per serving or less.

that's my concern as well

I don't want bars with a lot of carbs-the Atkins bars are good for low carbs but taste way nasty

the Clif bars I've looked at are pretty good but have something like 30 g of carbs

maybe I should just up my protein intake in other ways, and I don't mean liquid protein so get your collective minds out of the gutter

Try Vitalady.com for some good protein mixes. I like the pure whey stack chocolate and pro blend 55 chocolate. I mix them in a blender w/ ice and water or milk and serve them chilled.

I went to the store last night and found the South Beach diet bars

they have about 10 grams of protein and roughly 9 net grams of carbs and they're really good

I'm going back and stocking up while they're on sale

If you're looking for more protein, the South Beach "meal replacement" bars, which are similar to the diet bars, have 19g of protein.
