Lacrosse is actually a lot of fun to go to a game. At least it is here in Toronto. With the cheap prices they get the real fans instead of all the corporate suit season ticket holders at Leafs and to a lesser degree Raptors games. I go to a couple of Toronto Rock games a year and they draw close to 17,000 a game at the ACC. Unfortunately the Rock are off to an 0-2 start this year.

I agree, the NLL games are a lot of fun to watch...and easier on the budget than the NHL. I've been to several Calgary Roughnecks games in the past couple of years, although none yet in the new season just under way. Their first home game (against San Jose) turned out to be the longest game in NLL history, going more than eleven minutes into overtime before the Stealth scored to win. But the Roughnecks have won both of their subsequent games against Edmonton and Colorado. Toronto Rock plays here in February, and I would like to see that game. Attendance at the Saddledome for Roughnecks' games is usually between 11-12,000.

Two expansion teams this year for the NLL...Chicago Shamrox and New York Titans, bringing the current total up to thirteen teams. Sportsnet used to televise some of the NLL games in Canada; unfortunately now it seems that games are only available on Versus, a network I don't get here.

Got season tickets to the Mammoth. Love the games, love going to the bar and getting to meet the players afterwards. Many of them are rather easy on the eyes, as well.

And then there's Jamie Hanford...
