If you did aerobics in the 1980s, you may now have problems w/ your knees, especially if you taught areobics.

QUOTE
At its peak in the mid-'80s, an estimated 17 million to 20 million did aerobics, May said. But only 5 million did in 2005, according to a report by the sporting goods association. "We expect the 2006 numbers to be significantly lower," May said. "Aerobics are increasingly out of favor."

Thank goodness we have come a long way from those days. Aerobic exercise doesn't always need to involve high-impact exercises which degrade the feet, ankles and knees of those participating. We have learned so much since that time, especially how to save hips and knees from extreme impact. I'm so glad that I never got into that. Instead, I got into the strength training craze and I have been thankful ever since. biggrin.gif

I bike because it's a good exercise, and I'll get killer legs!

I had tendonitis last year and it made walking painful but I could bike with the best of them

I have horrible ankles-if I try and jog, they hurt for two days

I'm not a swimming person because of skin allergies

I don't see much of any other option other than biking-it's fun, it gets me out of the house and I can wear spandex without being laughed-without being laughed at too much
