If I log onto gay.com anytime of the day or night in Charlotte I can find at least 100 guys looking for sex now. With the prevalence of HPV (and genital warts) I'm mystified why so many guys take this cavalier and irresponsible approach to sexual encounters. When I read that a guy is shopping online for a clean, disease free partner, what the hell is that? Anyone that agrees to drop his pants -- or open his mouth to dropped pants -- with an anonymous partner is looking to lose his disease-free state. End of discussion.

I came out later in life (after 35), and after condom use became the norm (for sane people). Unfortunately, though, "playing safely" is a misnomer. Condoms do not prevent HPV.

Any ideas why so much recreational sex still occurs? Does the population that advertises "d/d free" not consider HPV a problem? Are they ignorant? If so, how do you ignore an ass or scrotum full of warts? Does rec-sex occur less often than in previous decades? Where do you draw the line?

OMG!! I think the line would be drawn right there, just this side of the ass or scrotum full of warts. EricNC, it does amaze me how many guys are out for casual sex all the time. Of course, I am not in that group but a lot of our single friends are very busy. Makes you really think twice when they reach to give you a big hug and kiss when they visit.
