The best looking actor on daytime was Michael Dempsey who played Alan Michael on GUIDING LIGHT. His contract has not been renewed. Too bad. He was great in the role.

On Y and R they always act like JT is tons younger than Professor Adrian Corbel. That is silly since both men are the exact same age in real life. Y AND R needs some more intriguing storylines. It has been boring as of late.

Nick is back !!!! A beautiful, mysterious lady is taking care of him. He has a huge gash in his leg and fighting a fever. What's going to happen? Is the lady psycho? Will she imprison him?

Yeah..WTF is it with every soap when someone's car goes plunging off a cliff or there is a plane crash that some recluse who lives isolated in the forest somewhere finds them and tries to nurse them back to health instead of calling the authorities? I don't have a good feeling about this lady.

Reminds me of the episode many years ago, where Brad was held captive in the mountains when he was with Tracy Abbot.

Yes, Brad was held captive by his crazy ex wife Tracey. That was a cool storyline.

i think you are mistaken. yes, brad was held captive but it wasn't by tracy. he was with tracy but his ex-wife Lisa (I believe) was the one holding him captive. I believe she also hired Rich Little to impersonate Brad on a phone message to Tracy.

I agree. The story lines are just not interesting. The only good thing they did was get Joshua Morrow back. Iliked it when Catherine Chancellor had a crush on Nickie. It took them awhile to get back to being :just friends." That's what got me hooked on the show. That and the way they dealt with AIDS, homelessness, foster parenting. And that ditzy blond they got from the B and B? Oh please. Can't stand her.

Yes...AmbWHORE!! I can't stand her either. Y&R you can really see the changes from the new writer and a lot of the fans are not happy about it. Its still one of my fave shows though cuz its got one of the most diverse casts on a soap.

Rich Little is not a good impressionist and even though he was supposed to imitate Bradley it was really Don Diamont who did the voice over work.

I have been watching that show since Leslie, the beautiful and delicate concert pianist. She had 3 sisters and one of them was married to John McCook. Maybe Leslie. I think that might have been 26 years ago! Anyone remember?
I love the history of some of these characters.... I guess if a person needs to exercise their brains as they age, this is how I like to do it? For example, counting the spouses that Brad has had. Handsome, but sleeze to the limit.

Yes, Christian LeBlanc is hot. I have seen him shirtless and his ass is not the only part of his body that is great.

I also think he is a very good actor so I agree with you...he deserves an award. He plays his character very well and I like the humor that he adds to the part.

I haven't watched Y & R in several months and I probably haven't made a post to this topic in a long time, but I may have to start watching again after reading the latest posts on this topic.

I agree with mdterp01 on JT, Nick, Brad, and Michael (I don't feel like looking up the correct spelling of their real names).

Even though he is a bit too "pretty" and "All-American" looking for me, it is very difficult to ignore the perfection in JT's body. I loved him in the Madonna video and I like that he has been wearing a goatee-5'o'clock shadow. It adds a bit of an edge to him. He is just perfection.

Nick is very sexy and I wish we could see more scenes where he shows more "skin."

Brad is hot, but he was hotter years ago. Now he is too clean cut and mature looking. He had more of an edge when he was younger.

I've been waiting for the scene when Nick is reunited with loved ones. What a disappointment. Nicky was pathetic. I thought she was going to start laughing. Phyllis was pretty good. I think the writing for Nick was just awful. Not remembering that he was divorced is a stupid story line. Maybe having his emotions altered, where he decides he wants to be back with Sharon makes sense. I'm even disappointed with Joshua's performance, but given what he was supposed to be emoting....
That show has lost it for me.

I actually thought Joshua Morrow's performance was pretty good today, particularly when he broke down after they told him that Cassie was killed in a car accident. The part that pissed me off was why the hell they were spilling the beans to him about EVERYTHING after they realized he was obviously suffering from amnesia. "Nick...we're divorced and have shared custody". "Nick...Cassie was killed in a car accident two years ago". The man just survived a plane crash and was not yet stable. I think they could've waited at least a day for the medicine and rest to stabilize him before they broke that kind of news to him. I know its a soap opera but good grief. From what I undersand, the new writers at Y&R are really about moving these storylines along quicker, and it shows. I thought it would be around the end of summer before Nick was returned back to Genoa City. He needs to hurry up and shave that beard though. I like clean shaven Nick.

Glad to see Nick back in Genoa City. He's lost his memory and thinks he's still married to Sharon. He thinks Cassie is alive and forgets ever being with Phyllis and ever having a daughter named Summer. But I see how easy it would be to forget someone like Phyllis. The actress who portrays Phyllis is wonderful but she makes her character a ruthless bitch. Great acting on her part.

The original "Hope" Signe Coleman is back !!! For awhile any way, it appears she has pancreatic cancer. OMGawd, Victor Jr. (Vic), Hope's son is a hottie. He is definitely the spitting image of Victor.

Okay, is it just me, but is Cane and Lily the biggest bore ever? Every time they are on, I am pressing FF on my TiVo. I watched Y&R last week in record time because of these two. The beauty of it is their story pretty much has nothing to do with anyone elses so I don't miss anything. Well, maybe Cane shirtless.

I about fainted when Catherine passed out last week (or so). I love her. Her time is coming, but boy she has been a rock for that show. I am still baffled as to why no one remembers her unspeakable passion for Nicky.

I missed a few shows. But appearantly Katherine met up with her twin Marge. They were driving together. Had an accident. Marge was left in the car and Katherine floated downstream.

Nikki and Jill found the accident. Everyone believes Kay to be dead. And her funeral is being held. With most of Genoa City attending.

Phyllis may soon get drunk. She saw Nick and Sharon kissing. So that may drive her to drinking or being the evil bitch, she used to be.

I really enjoyed seeing some of the old characters again, especially Nina. I always loved how she wasn't afraid to stand up to Jill. I also loved Dina's snappy remark to Billy. Speaking of Billy, I don't like the new one at all. The good-guy Billy is gone and replaced by a smarmy, glib, mugging version. This one would never have gone off to help the needy; he's WAY too self-absorbed.

I liked seeing Jeanne Cooper play Marge again. Even though the performance is way over-the-top, it's a lot of fun to watch.

I also like the character of Adam/Victor Jr. He has been the most interesting addition to the show in a long time. He just seems to get better-looking every day. Great hairy chest, too!

Billy's older brother Cain is being played by Daniel Goddard as serious, honest, dedicated, etc. so evidently as a foil they need the new Billy to be glib & mugging. He certainly doesn't seem to be too heartbroken at his grandmother's funeral, he's taking it very well. (Actually it's not his grandmother's funeral at all though he doesn't know that yet.)

Yeah who picked that guy? The Billy who had the relationship with Mac was good. Loved seeing Brock again. He hasn't aged!

I stopped watching Y&R recently, but I am keeping up via cbs.com. Anyway, I am bored with Victor & Nikki. If I was Nikki, I would keep up with Paul. Paul is a hottie. Also, Cane & Billy; those are two hot brothers.

Tyrone Jackson put on whiteface to infiltrate the mob. Brad seduced Tracy to get her money. Katherine showed John the photos of Jill and Jack in bed and he had a stroke. Ashley's abortion which still stands and wasn't revised to introduce an embryo transplant child years later a la All My Children...all good stuff.

But for the life of me I can't remember the Katherine-Nikki affair. Just kidding! I remember it and used to wish that they would kiss. Wasn't it near the time when Nikki thought she was terminally ill but found out she wasn't and was taking Tic Tacs to keep Victor in the marriage? Anyway, ASHLEY and VICTOR belong together. Nikki is what she was - a hooker without the heart of gold - sex workers who've made it big should have some type of humility about them. Nikki is uppity.

It was during that period where they were playing Kay for the bitterly lonely old woman, and Nicki paid her some attention, and she got really into their friendship, and then......she wanted trips together alone, and wanted Nicki with her all the time. So she started to romance her. Sitting on the couch together and cuddling, I thought they might kiss, but remember that was the days before NO same sex kisses were ever shown on regular TV.
And then someone said to Nicki that they thought Katherine had unnatural feelings for her. Nicki said that they were just friends. And then the guy came over and asked Kay in person, with Nicki there, if she was in love with Nicki, and she said ...through exaggerated drama and tears and angst---YES....Oh Yes... And then she and Nicki didn't speak for years. But what you see of their friendship now is a result of that passion. I wish CBS would wake up and replay that. It would be ok, and quite interesting now.

You make a good point about Nick and Sharon from a watching porn point of view, but I can watch Nick kiss on anybody as long as he is aggressive. That's one thing that is sad about the end of codependent issues over time, soaps don't do a good job at making healthy mind space sex hot. When Nick was angry at Victor and throwing women all over the bedroom? Amazing. Cheating with Phyllis? Oh yes. Now, it's like spice it up already.

As for Sharon the Whore of Babylon, how could you say that she's less trashy than Phyllis when she abandoned her child for years, slept with her first baby daddy while married to Nick, almost got Nick killed, and kissed Victor at the ranch? Sharon is the biggest slut in the world and unlike Phyllis who is a woman about her cunning, Sharon always has an excuse and then cries crocodile tears and shakes her size 2 ass around the room until the men around her forget what's going on. She should have never been with Jack but Jack fell for her bullcrap. If you kiss your husband's Dad and aren't a poster child of incest character on Bold and Beautiful you deserve to never be heard from again. AND Sharon hates Victoria who used to be my favorite character when Heather Tom was around.

Yes, you're somewhat right about Sharon throwing it around. I guess she just looks so Pollyannaish, while Phyllis is raw and raunchy. It is attractive. She has grown up since her pathetic days with Danny.

I liked the old Victoria too. I thought Cole was cute. He isn't like any of the other guys on the show. They all seem to be really built--look at JT, Neil, Nick <sigh>, Brad and Jack not so much. Cole was the "sensitive type."

Is this the end for Brad? I know Don Diamont was let go from Y&R. I would just hate for Brad to be killed off. He has been a mainstay for years.

I'm sorry to see Brad go, too. He's been an interesting, edgy character for many years, a little sinister but also sympathetic, and always unpredictable. He seems to be going out with a bang, though. He had a good scene last week with his ex ( Colleen's mom). The dialog and chemistry between them was just right, and the flashbacks from their youthful years in the past were moving. They've aged over the years and added on some pounds (don't we all ! ) but the concern and affection that they showed for each other was good to see. Later on, though, I thought Brad made a fool of himself when he followed it up by visiting Sharon in the cabin and pleading with her to give him another chance, but he's only human, and we all do those kind of things. At any rate it's been an emotional week for him and it'll be interesting to see what becomes of him. I think they're going to find his red scarf next to the hole in the ice where Noah went in and it'll probably turn out that he rescued Noah. Maybe after that he'll just disappear ( like previous Y&R characters have done ) and it will be up to us to use our own imaginations to figure out what became of him. (I'm just guessing at all of this).

Rafe (the lawyer) came out to Colleen when Lily tried to fix them up.

It's about time Y&R has a gay character. Even though he's not really tied to anyone or doesn't have much to do with the show.

I wonder if he'll stick around. Or if he'll be one of those people you see every now and then, like Mitchell.

Cool! I wasn't completely paying attention during that scene, so I completely missed Rafe's coming out to Colleen. I remember Colleen commenting about how "subtle" Lily was when she asked if Rafe was taking a date to (yummy) Adam's party. And then she showed up at the party later. But apparently I missed the best part in between!

Rafe came out in a very low-key way. Lily had tried to set him up on a date with her friend Colleen, and he politely turned her down. Later, when Colleen asked him about it, he mentioned that he was gay. Colleen just smiled and took it all in stride. They didn't make much of an issue about it. I think the writers are planning to introduce a new character soon, who might end up being Rafe's partner or boyfriend.I guess this is the only way for them to go, at this point it doesn't seem like any of the other Y & R guys are available, they're all either straight or in the closet. I think some of them might actually like guys, though, but the writers wouldn't dare.
