If there is anyone in the Milwaukee area keen on planning a group outing, the Milwaukee Brewers are interested. I've been contacted by a guy in their group sales department (via my website gaybaseballdays.com) who had also contacted me last summer. It seems he is quite interested in developing a group event (I suppose that's his job) and would be happy to work with the LGBT community. He's contacted the local LGBT community center, but has received weak support.

So, if anyone is involved with a community group, league/team, or just an individual who would like to become part of an event (that's how I first approached the Blue Jays, and now we've had three Pride Nights), post here or contact me and I will pass on this guy's contact info.

The event could be whatever you want--a fundraiser for your organization, a community-wide event, or just a team/league outing--but it's a really worthwhile venture and lots of fun for everybody involved. There have been popular gay day events with many teams (Cubs, Phillies, Nationals, Pirates, Blue Jays, Rockies, Red Sox, Giants, etc.). As well, many groups organize their own group outings to baseball games (I believe the local softaball league in Milwaukee did a group event when they hosted a softball tournament last summer).

When a team is actually coming out to the community and saying "how can we help you?" I think we should answer the call. They want to support us; let's support them.

And if anybody knows anybody in Milwaukee, please let them know. I'd really like to add the Brewers to the list of teams having gay days.
