This is an email time-line I received from a close friend of Willwinone (Will Winn). I emailed Will Winn outside of the Outsports Boards many times. This is the last two emails I received from his close friend Tim Davis.

Link to Will Winn Please see post #28.

I am not sure if you knew that Will was an identical twin. Here are his photos he sent me and one he had posted on his profile page. Will was 22 years old.

My God. I just made the connection. Guys this is our Outsports brother who we all cheered on as he went to meet his friend in the 'Albuquerque Advice' thread.
My heart and prayers go out to his family, friends and this Outsports family. I'll write more in awhile as soon as I can gather my thoughts. For some reason, this hit home and ripped my heart out.

I don't even know how to process this information. How, why, and when did this happen? I'm reading the letters and I can't slow my brain down long enough to make sense of it. My heart, prayers, and tears go out to his poor parents and brother, along with the rest of his family.
SFHoya
Just so f**king sad.
UCLAfan
Is this true? Have we lost the man we were cheering on to make the love connection with his friend in Albuquerque? unsure.gif Oh my word! This is indeed shocking and deeply saddening!
Cyd at Outsports
How horrible. Is there some way to confirm this? So sad.
bear321
Cyd, I have been trying to confirm this since I received the email from Tim Davis reporting the accident to me. I have found no obituary or accident report and I have contacted a few funeral homes and florists in Plano, TX and they do not have anyone on file by the name of William Thomas Winn. I am beginning to smell a rat here.

I have received many emails outside of Outsports from Will Winn and if this is a hoax, someone went to great lengths to do so. Will did tell me his parents were very upset with his "coming out". He said his father is a Baptist Minister in Plano, TX.

Did anyone else on the boards chat with Will outside of Outsports? This story does take on a strange twist when you think about it. What really happened to William Thomas Winn and where is Tim Pitts, his boyfriend he went to visit in Albuquerque, New Mexico?
Jim at Outsports
I added a ? to the post title pending some verification.

Why not just assume everything is on the up-and-up?

Unless there was money involved...
Jim at Outsports
Just would like to be certain. I scanned some databases and could find no mention of a person by that name dying. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, and hope it did not.
SCTrojan
I would think that he would have posted here by now considering the thread activities this story's been getting...Unless Will Winn is a faux personality or he & his "Tim" pal are playing a sick game w/ us. I certainly hope not.

The email said the accident happened outside Vegas, so there must be some info on the crash. Did he say what highway it was on?
I'd be supsicious if it was highway 375, north of Vegas. Being on that road, (A.K.A. 'The Extraterrestrial Highway') at 3:30 am is just to creepy for my taste. (I've been on it at 3:30 in the afternoon)
At any rate, keep us posted.
bear321
This thread and the other one are getting a little confusing to keep up with. Cyd and Jim, is there any way to combine these two threads together so we can keep them all together? I should have posted all my info under the Albuquerque Advice thread, but at the time it didn't seem like to place to put the information that Will Winn may have died in an auto accident.

I am not sure if you can combine them and what name do we give the combine thread. We are all writing in both threads at this time and it may get a little confusing.

I received a voicemail from Lt. Swain with the Nevada Highway Patrol from their Carson City office. He is the Executive Officer to Colonel Perry. He searched their entire state database for Nevada and could not find any fatal accidents involving a red Honda Ridgeline or for anyone under the name William Thomas Winn. He left his phone number for me to call him back and he would offer other suggestions.

Now I wonder if the accident might have happened in California. Las Vegas is very close to the California and Arizona state borders. I will check with Lt. Swain to see what other information he may be able to offer. At this point this story is starting to sound more and more like a hoax. I just don't know which part is the hoax, the person or the death of the person.

Does anyone have any connections with the California Highway Patrol that can find out any accident information?

I'll check w/ a friend of mine who's a Sergeant for the Sheriff's Dept (I met him when I was working w/ him @ his station). He knows lots of people on different forces for CA...If not I can check w/ 2 of my nephews who are police officers & see if they have any contacts. I'll keep you posted. wink.gif
Falconpride
Cyd and Jim, could you find out when the photo was changed on Will's profile? If it happened after April 9th (which I think it did), it might give more answers...and more questions.
SCTrojan
Sorry, no luck on my end. Hopefully this issue is resolved.
bear321
Okay, here is what I have found out after extensive research. Will did not die in an auto accident. I have been in contact with a family member and he is alive and safe. The family has requested privacy for Will at this time. They will let him make the decision to contact us if he so chooses. I have emailed Jim and Cyd and after discussion about Will's situation we agreed to lock this thread.

Thanks guys for all your concerns for Will. Just give him time.
