And holy crap, that was a lot of fun! My friends and I are gonna try and get into the Firehouse during a game this season, cause that would be wicked awesome.

Unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about the MLS aside that Beckham (gag) is coming over during the summer and Clint Dempsey now plays for Fulham in the EPL.

That's awesome MetsfanChi. biggrin.gif
Yea - another converted MLS fan! Well Chicago is full of great footballers. Of the list below, I believe all have played the national team except Thiago (Brazilian) and Guerrero (Honduran). Justin Mapp was the Man of the Match against Denmark back in January. It was an awesome run up the right flank to set up Bornstein's goal. I am sure you can find it on YouTube. Armas was selected for the USMNT for the 2002 World Cup but had an injury and couldn't play. Rolfe has gotten a lot of play on the National team recently and Barrett is the hot up and comer with experience on the national under-23s. The only big loss to the Fire was forward Nate Jaqua who now plays for the Galaxy via Toronto FC.
The Fire won the MLS Cup in their inaugural year 1998 and went to the finals two other times (I don't remember what years). What's the Firehouse; is that the supporter's section or the VIP area? I hope you attend a lot more matches this season. My friend and I are either going to the Dynamo match in Chicago on July 12th or the match in Denver on August 11th. I'll let you know if we choose Chicago. Well, the Dynamo - Fire match is this Saturday here in Houston. The Dynamo will be wearing special uniforms with the Virginia Tech colors and auctioning them off to raise money for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. Also part of the tickets sales are going to the fund. The auction has already started. Brian Ching's jersey is already going for over $1000.00. The match will only be televised on Dish Satellite, MLSLIVE.tv, and Houston local channel 55.

Ah, the firehouse are where the really big supporters go to watch the game. They stand the whole game, they chant/lead all songs during the match and well drink (still don't get why the have concessions at soccer matches).
About MLS, not just yet a fan, but slowly but surely I'll get there. And that kid Rolfe, he's quite a looker biggrin.gif He actually scored both goals that night. Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye on the Fire for now.

Fire games are a lot of fun. Before I moved west, I loved going to watch Carlos Bocanegra play. He was one of those defenders that got any ball he went after. He's playing in England now.
