Cinthia Covarrubias of Fresno California high school ran for prom king this past saturday night. Cinthia considers himself transgendered though he is a biological woman. Though Cinthia lost the contest, he had lots of chutzpah to run for the title. He wore a black and white tuxedo. The student body views on the run for prom king were mixed. Some gay students did not support the running which shows that gays and 'straights' are both differently minded on this issue. But the support received was very strong.

Now, we have a transgender male who won the title of "Prom Queen" at his high school.

I'm glad that the school was tolerant and elected the transgendered youth as prom queen.
