I thought it was a little tame but of course it's A YEAR AND A HALF away from the election. I have to say that Hillary looked pretty impressive and believe it or not Joe Biden moved up in my book. Edwards and Obama held their ground and Dodd made an okay showing. I think the bottom three will be Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson and I'm going to wager Gravel will be going home.

It was a bit of a snoozefest. Obama was a bit nervous at the beginning, but he came out okay. Hillary was more impressive than I thought she was going to be, but she sometimes sounds like she's on autopilot. Her comment about her pro-war vote was effective. Edwards is great, but I just keep wondering about how prissy he appears. He needs to muss up that coif or something. Dodd was often very strong. But is he against gay marriage and civil unions? I was trying to figure that one out. Biden was funny, but doesn't have a chance. Kucinich was Kucinich. Mike Gravel gave me flashbacks of Admiral Stockdale! A bit of a kook. Richardson seemed out of it at times. He can either come off as knowledgeable or lost. But I'd take him over any of the GOP candidates at this point.

Dodd is against Gay Marriage but fully supports Civil Unions. When a candidate is that caught up in semantics, it makes you wonder where his head is at. (With a nod to Basement Jaxx)

It was an OK showing for all. The frontrunners (Hillary & Obama) didn't slip and fall, while the rear end (Gravel, Richardson, and Kucinich) didn't hit the home runs that they needed to.
I liked that Hillary came out almost sounding presidential. Gov. Richardson had a couple of shining moments and then he also had a couple of brain farts. Gravel did seem out of place there, as though he were trying to find a niche. Overall, it was not a great showing and not a bad one either for all candidates.

Gravel was out of place -- as in, the only one honest enough to suggest that the War on Terror is bullsh*t?
