Let's see if I have this right: For years, he denied ever betting on baseball, then he wrote a book in which he said he did bet on baseball and now he's selling baseballs autographed "I'm sorry I bet on baseball."
The first reports said Rose had signed baseballs for a friend and that 30 of them were being put up for auction, with Rose saying he wasn't involved with the auction. But wait, there's more: fans can buy a "sorry" baseball for $299 from Rose's own website.
I wish I could say I was surprised by Rose's actions, but....His chances of getting into the Hall of Fame are growing dimmer by the second.

Rose isn't exactly a moron, unless you figure that at this point he still thinks he has a chance of ever being inducted into the Hall of Fame. What he is for sure is a liar and a weasel.

Ah! You got it right, Joe. Thankfully, however, he hasn't quite reached the snake-level that seems to be running rampant in politics lately.

Pete Rose has admitted that he bet on the Reds every day while he was managing the team.

"I bet on my team to win every night because I love my team, I believe in my team," Rose said. "I did everything in my power every night to win that game."

OK, now he has reached the sleazoid level of a politician! If he thinks this admission will help him get into the Hall of Fame, he'll have to wait at least another 10 years.
