Lately, it appears that everyone associated with the Bush Regime is apologizing for everything under the sun. As this Yahoo! story details, saying "I'm sorry" isn't enough. It appears that we the American public are finally catching on to this tricky tactic and are demanding actions to back up the words.

Mercifully, this appears to be true. The apologies from the Bush Regime are falling short. Apologizing for the Iraq war isn't enough. Leaving, even knowing some of the consequences, would be enough. Alberto Gonzales saying he's sorry for linking politics to justice falls short. Surrendering the power of the attorney general's office would suffice.

Yes, this pathetic attempt at minimizing damage and at containing the political harm will fall short in the end. I'm simply grateful that the rest of our fellow Americans are waking up to these parlor tricks and what not.
