I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a really good, large used record shop in the DC area. The husband and I will be in the area week after next and I always try to find these places to do some searching for rare gems (from the 80s) I can use for my radio show. If anyone has some good ideas, please share them. Thank you!!! smile.gif

Over the years I have had some really good luck with Second Story Books on P St. NW, right near Dupont Circle. They also have another warehouse/store in Rockville, MD. I dont get out there too much but when I do I find some "gems and treasures"

Just last week I found out about a wonderful hidden place. It is in the baement of the Wheaton Public Library, on Georgia Ave, a short walk from the Wheaton Metro station. I found some long, out of print records that arent even on CD. The place is awesome. Some day soon I hope to get back there and spend some more time going through the records and book.

Lastly, there is a store a block from the Clarendon Metro stop. It is called Orpheus Records or soemthing like that. I dont get there too often but when I do, I usually find something that is hard to find.
