There are many stereotypes about gay men, some of them contradictory. One is that we are demurring and passive but at the same time conniving and cunning.

How much of this smoke (which always comes from a bit of fire) has lingered as more gays come out and wider acceptance is achieved?

Today's featured gay athlete made me think of this. Apparently some, unfortunately anonymous Survivor voters, may have found him too bossy, causing him to get kicked off prematurely (whatever that could mean - I have never watched the show myself).

Yet a gay man won on a similar a show previously. Were they known to be gay by anyone who had a vote? Did it play a role in getting them kicked off or winning.

I also wonder how many previous survivors have appeared nude for pay.

Coming out is difficult enough. There are some peculiar changes coming in the gay out community IMO. cool.gif
