Full Version: Phillies Gay Community Night 2007
It's on Thurs. 8/9/07. Does anyone want to get together to go to the game? Seeing as how the Phils are 1-6 this year so far when I'm at the game, and that they've lost every previous game on gay night, odds of a Phils win aren't good.

The e-mail I got a few days ago said something about "joining over 500" at the game. I guess that means they got over 500 tickets sold or are very close to it.

The final total was over 700 according to scottie -- there was a rush of sales in the last few days. There were some people in the sections handing out free t-shirts that said "Athletic supporter" with "Gay Night at the Phillies/August 9, 2007" and the t-shirt maker's web address in smaller print. There were the usual 5 or 6 protestors outside.
And, of course, there was the obligatory Phillies loss. So I'm not going next year. I can't take the heartbreak any more.

JiP, next year I'm going to nominate you as the person to throw out the first pitch... that way, you'll have to go to the game.
