Say, does anybody know if NYC has any type of organized dart league(s)? I've been searching the web and can't find a contact or info. Darts is really big in Chicago and wondered if it even exists in NYC? :confused:

I don't know of any gay bars that even have dart boards in NYC let alone a league. I'm not sure you want some of these angry, drunken queens having access to darts anyway. I know some of the bars sponsor pool teams, but that's about it. I've lived in NYC for almost 20 years and have never heard of such a league.

I also looked in the back of Metrosource magazine where they have a preety comprehensive list of NY athletic leagues and while there are leagues for bowling, cycling, swimming, pool, softball, soccer, and many others, there is not a listing for darts. Sorry!

Yeah -- it's bad enough on the NFL threads here.

I know that Big Apple Ranch has darts, but didn't know if there were others. I guess I'm somewhat shocked that it is SO huge in Chicago (several leagues) and not at all in NYC.

By the way, those bar darts are harmless, little plastic tips. Not even a drunken, out of control queen could cause any damage. :-)

I don't know if this will be of any help, but the Irish bars that line 2nd Ave. have a lot of dart players. Possibly a league. But, of course, that means you'll have to play with a lot of "straight", hunky Irish lads! Good luck! Mike
