Joe in Philly
Farewell to my ex-boyfriend. smile.gif
Marc
Joe, any thoughts of re-kindling the romance now that JR has retired? biggrin.gif He should have more free time and likely won't be travelling quite so much! But it sounds like he is living in Arizona, where he last played hockey, a bit far from Philadelphia; although the story says he wants to expand his businesses to the east coast, so that might be your chance! I don't know if it was mentioned in the NHL threads this past season, but Roenick was a guest analyst on Canada's TSN network during the playoffs. I only saw him a couple of times, but he seemed to be quite competent in that role, and of course, never at a loss for words!

I still haven't forgiven him for picking the Patriots over the Eagles in the Super Bowl (even though he was correct). That wound will take a looooooooooooong time to heal. smile.gif

Joe has Uppie now anyways... wink.gif
Matt the Bruins fan
Personally, I'm glad he's gone and won't be insulting and antagonizing fans as a representative of the NHL players anymore. He was dynamic and talented on the ice, but the instant the man opened his mouth egotism and a marked lack of sportsmanship spewed out.
Maddog
He's very animated. I saw a celebrity Texas Hold'em thing this weekend and he couldn't sit still. It pretty much made every one crazy at the table but it was fun to watch. The boy has a very thick trunk.

Vaya con Dios JR! Vaya con Dios.
GO KINGS GO
Little to late. He didn't do anything for us! mad.gif

Surprise! He's not retiring after all. I'm not sure how much he can help San Jose, though.

"It's going to be a quiet year in terms of the verbal side of me," Roenick said in a phone interview.

THIS I gotta see...
