Why? Well, it seems the price of popcorn has risen 40% in the U.S. the last year because of the growing demand for corn needed to produce ethanol. Moreover, corn in general and other products containing significant amounts of corn have also seen sharp price increases.

Now this hits close to home! They've pushed me too far! It's bad enough I have to spend $6 for a bag of popcorn at the movie theater. Now it's going to be $8, maybe $10. When will it stop? And the price for popcorn bought in stores to pop at home is also affected.

This popcorn lover will not stand for this! Whatever, we mustn't let the Republicans find out about this. tongue.gif

Long live a greasy bag of "movie theater butter" popcorn!
