Actually, I thought the guy that Susan kissed at the end was Adam. I should of DVR'd it.. I really hope this 5 years in the future is some sort of dream by someone - It really limits any surprises for the next five years.
Fast forwarding, however, does allow for the creation of new secrets.
I have never cared about Susan's character or storyline, but I have a lot of respect

for blue collar guys who speak from the hip and have strong hands like Mike Delfino so it's too bad he's gone.
I care sometimes about Lynette. The fast forward does allow for the original premise of the show to return of the kids gone wild. They are just wild now in a teenage way.
Gabi used to be one of my favorite characters but she's totally forgettable now. How is it that you befriend a drug dealer selling out of your house who could get you put in jail by association, especially given your husband's prison record??? Because she had a rough upbringing? Get in line. Seeing Gabi without makeup is like really ridiculous and not the reason I watch the show. If Jesse Metcalfe wouldn't have ruined it for everyone by opening his big mouth we could have had him with Gabi by now.
And finally, Bree! The reason I watch the show.

I liked her with Andrew and Andrew in the suit as the uptight polished boy after his mother's heart. Will we learn that Bree once turned tricks too? (They never did explain how/why she changed from the woman Rex married who "drank out of the milk carton") And I was really stressed out that she wasn't going to end up with Orson. I'm thinking that Orson did a four or five year prison sentence and now they are back together. Perfect set up for when Danielle comes back and tries to get custody of her son. If there ever was a spin-off that's it. But if they did do that they'd have to break up Bree and Orson so I'd rather they not.
All in all, the show is still a night time soap with at least 1 really appealing female character which is what I like to watch. I don't set my calendar to it like Nip/Tuck, but that's also true because it's online and easy to watch. I say compared to the "lost season" with Alfre Woodard, this one was close to being closer to the ideal of the show. Definite B+
P.S. - If you really want to see a show wrecked after it's first season look at Grey's Anatomy. At least DH hasn't been destroyed by actors who forget how much money they are making because of ego drama. So it could definitely be worse.
