Hey guys, when are we going to get together for some Sunday afternoon football? Anybody want to try to get together one of these coming weekends?
sportinlife

I might be able to swing it the 20th or 27th. If I can get tickets to "Take Me Out" on one of those weekends.

I'm gonna be in NYC this Sunday and would love to catch the Sunday night game (Miami @ Denver). You guys ever go to ESPN Zone to watch games?

Now I'm sorry I already have other plans for Sunday. Mark and Cyd? swoooooooooooon
If something is arranged for the 20th or 27th I might be able to take the train from Baltimore.

Hi Cyd, hope you can meet up with us. Anyway, I've never been to ESPN Zone. My understanding is that it is usually crowded, and seemed like it was crowded whenever I walked past there. But I don't know how it is for Sunday night football.

ESPN Zone is strictly tourists - the straight, uninviting, unwelcoming kind. Would love to see Cyd, but I'll pass on the ESPN Zone. As far as straight bars that show all the games, I usually watch at Barrow Street Alehouse, which gets the DirecTV package with multiple games.

Yeah Cyd, skip the ESPN Zone. Too crowded. I walked by the Riviera on 7th Ave last Sunday evening on my way to work and it was not at all packed like it is for Sunday afternoon games. Food and drinks are pretty reasonable there as well. And its gay friendly as well.
The place MunsonMan mentioned sounds good too. But it would be great to watch with Cyd.

Also any other NYers want to join us?

Barrow Street Alehouse-15 Barrow Street between West 4th Street and 7th Avenue in the West Village. If you are taking the subway, take the 1/9 to Christopher Street or the A/C/E to West 4th Street station.

4:00 PM works for me. That way I don't have to miss church . Giants are the early game, so hopefully it'll clear out a bit at that point.

So are you guys gonna fill us in on your Sunday extravaganza in the Big Apple?....with Cyd being there, we know it HAD to be fun....did Mark the bartender give any of the Outsporters a special "welcome back" gift? ....don't leave us in suspense (even though I'm sure the upcoming get togethers in DC will surpass NYC -- we just need to keep the snipers away, that's all).

We had a really fun time. We didn't go to the place where Mark the Bartender works, but rather a straight but gay friendly sports bar where we were able to see all the late games plus the baseball games.
We always manage to have loads of laughs when we get together. And it was great having Cyd with us. We also managed to find another table of gay guys! It would be nice to get a few more guys to show up considering the size of NYC, but the quality of the company is what matters most. We'll do it again in a couple of weeks.

I had an excellent time, although my memory of the last hour is a bit cloudy. It was nice seeing Cyd and his gay chin, and very nice to see the other table of queers. The little catwalk thing one of the other guys did was very funny. And of course:

I had a great time as well. It was nice seeing you guys again, and meeting Cyd. I hope the taping went well. I don't remember the catwalk thing. Maybe it happened while I was in the bathroom for the umpteenth time, or my memory was cloudy as well.

Should we send out an email?

Hey Pete, either place is fine by me. If there is a preference for the Barrow Street Ale House, then let's go there.

Since I'm not familiar with either. You guys can decide. Just post or e-mail where/when/how.
Correction, I do think I know the Hangar. Is that on Christopher?

Hi Alfonso, yes, please join us if you can. All are welcome.
Copman, I'm not sure if the location has been determined. While you're in NY, are you going to be able to access your email or the Internet? I also may stop by Ty's Thursday night. I can also tell you then if I see you. Wherever the location, I plan on being there at about 1:00.
Guys, where should we go Sunday?

Hmmmmm, why don't we meet at The Hangar. If we want to graze during the second game we can decide to adjourn to Barrow Street Alehouse.
Pat and Copman - I'm gonna stop in at Ty's on Thursday night as well. Probably about 9:30 or so.
