Hello All, I just relocated to South Florida, Ft Laud., and have not found any of the gay sporting groups I once knew about. I thought there was a cycling team and a Gay Front Runners, maybe I dreamt it? However I did'nt see too many locals in the clubhouse, so I'm not sure how active FTL really is. I would really like to be brought up on the gay teams or some sort of publication that involves sports, gyms in the FTL area. Looking forward to meeting some of the other athletes in town.Shoot me an email and let's talk!

I just got back from Ft. Lauderdale yesterday. There were over 900 swimmers/divers/water polo players in town for the IGLA championship held at the swimming hall of fame venue. I also chatted briefly with one of the softball board members (the softball league there is huge), he indicated that Ft. Lauderdale has the inside track on hosting the Gay World Series for 2006 - hopefully they will move it to October as to not compete with the Gay Games.

There is a gay bowling league up there somewhere, 'cause friends of mine from Hollywood used to bowl with them. Dade has one that meets at Bird Bowl, but that'd be quite a hike for you. Check out Sunshine Athletic Association. I think they're still around. Good luck.
