I thought I'd share with the group my new obsession: Argentinian Juan Monaco, who's been having a decent year so far (with three singles titles).

Nadal might be ripped, but this guy isn't so bad. Seriously, I'd never noticed abs busting out of a shirt until I saw one of his pics come through the wires.

And of the guys who've grown their hair out as of late, he's one of the few who looks good in a bandana

Plus, (so say my friends who've magnified this pic x100000000), apparently he can tough it out on the court sans jock support?

Tennis Served Fresh,

I agree with you on Juan Monaco.

I have always thought that he was attractive and I added him to my list of hot tennis players a long time ago.

Thanx for the links to the pics.

Not only is Juan Monaco ripped, but what a hot face. Why have we not seen more of him on the tour?

TommyC84,

We haven't seen more of Juan Monaco on the tour because he has been ranked outside of the top 50 in the world for most of his career and his best results are on clay.

Most Americans aren't really interested in the average clay courter even if they are attractive. It would not be difficult to find several other clay court specialists that are just as attractive as Juan Monaco.

Fortunately, he is currently at his career high ranking of 23 so it is possible that we may get to see more of him.

The only reason we have seen Juan Monaco recently is because he defeated Nadal a few weeks ago in Cincinatti when Nadal had to retire.

I agree. Unfortunately, even though he's won three titles on tour this year, they've all been smaller tourneys played on clay. They aren't the events played on grand stages like Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. He might have done okay at the French this year (not sure), but his performance reflected his ranking: there are clearly twenty players who, on paper, are better than he is.
