And ohmygawd a hypocrite of the worst kind. But we've seen this kind of stuff before. Who was that slimy guy who was head of the Fundamentalist Church, preaching specifically about how bad homos were? AGH! Great when they get busted and EXPOSED.
BTW, what did Mr. Craig do, my gay brothers? All they say in the paper was that he was in a pose that people assume when they want to solicit for sex? The mind makes a picture that is comical, but sad. Actually pathetic that guys have to do that in bathrooms....and can't go home to their wives and ... well.....

Leno's line is hysterical..
I noticed Craig said he'd never been gay, but he didn't say he'd never had sex with men.
The unmistable red flag is that no one who was innocent of this specific charge would ever have pled guilty, AND not told anyone: his wife, his attorney, absolutely no one. If that's not an obvious cover up of guilt, I don't know what is...
Dr. Drew was the one on LKL who said that there's a clinical description now of "men who have sex with men" but aren't considered gay. Now we know women do this often in the spirit of entertaining their base heterosexual guys, but they may not be lesbians. But guys who have sex with men secretly, on the side, on the down low, whatever - keep it hidden, furtive, in the dark. But they're not gay.
Frankly, I'd hate to claim them. They have such incredible homophobia rushing through their veins. In fact, if these kind of guys weren't doing so much damage politically, I'd feel sorry for them.

Right wing bastard Tucker Carlson who wears the trademark bowtie and unfashionable parted hair has admitted to bashing a man in a public restroom. Carlson claims that when he was in high school he was in a public restroom and a man came on to him. Carlson came back with a friend who helped beat the man up. They then turned him over to the police. This story sounds very suspicous to me. Suspicous as in not telling the full story. I wonder if Carlson was participating in sexual behavior himself? He is known for his venomous homophobia. Another case of a witch being behind the witchhunt?
Carlson always likes to brag about being married and having a bunch of kids. He claims not to take his small son into public restrooms because of all the 'weirdos'. Maybe gays wouldn't want to be in a restroom with a right wing fascist with a bowtie.

Two tof his statements are particularly indicative of how tortured this man is.
"never was gay" implies he thinks it is something that could change if it
happened to him.
and
His claim that if he did such a thing he would never do it in Idaho. Shades of OJ Simpson's in that claim.
He goes beyond the usual politician's parsing of words into the realm of near insanity, as a previous poster suggested.
The rising voice also suggests great stress and desperation. Not signs of honesty.

Ding ding ding! You have the answer my San Diegan sistah. Remember in their mind "they're not gay." So anything remotely romantic w/ another man would only send them into the gay abyss w/ the possibility never to return from that abyss.

...They are so f**king deep in the closet w/ BIG time issues that they couldn't possibly head down that route. So someone like "Mr. Gayg" would only want to have an encounter that would be the least threatening, sexuality speaking that is. Ahhhh, but the price one pays for quite risky--and illegal-- behavior!

Their is no more potent antiseptic than light. Shed light on something and it can kill all sorts of vermin. They should take the wraps off Sgt. Karsnia and let him go onto all these talk shows that are no-doubt chomping at the bit to interview him.
Revealing this entire sordid behavior of unwanted toilet advances and misuse/abuse of public facilities would do more to discourage it than a thousand Sgt. Karsnias lurking in stalls to lure them in to convictions.
And I'd like to hear more from Sgt. Karsnia about his attitude toward his job. He may have a political career out of this, but shedding light on his motivations could perhaps clear up some vermin as well.
Our society could learn a lot about itself.

The Toronto Star has a big article in today's paper featuring the Republican elephant logo--in pink--and the headline
The Elephant in the Room.
===========
I find it interesting how Craig's long-time Republican colleagues dropped him like a hot potato. I mean, it's not like he murdered anyone. While the act was unseemly, could not somebody--some friend--stand up for him and say, He's a good man but he made a mistake?
It's amazing how your supposed friends can drop you so quickly. On this note I'm looking forward to the movie
The Walker, which stars Woody Harrelson as a gay man who squires prominant Washington D.C. ladies to parties and such. He becomes implicated in a murder to which he is innocent, but his former friends drop him like a hot potato. As Lauren Bacall's character says: "Let me give you a piece of Washington wisdom. Don’t stand between a friend and a firing squad."
This seems to be what happened to Craig. And it's eerie how fact is mirroring fiction (the film has been released in the U.K., but doesn't open in the U.S. until December). I'm hoping to see it at the Toronto Film Festival, where it's getting a gala screening.

This

But the potential personal damage to people most closely affected is immeasurable. I wonder how Senator Craig's adpoptive son will feel if his father ever does come out as gay.

Love this quote from the article:
QUOTE
...he was surprised when he interviewed his subjects to learn that most of them were married; their houses were just a little bit nicer than most, their yards better kept. They were well educated, worked longer hours, tended to be active in the church and the community but, unexpectedly, were usually politically and socially conservative, and quite vocal about it...
So there you have in a nutshell the tell tale signs of a cocksucking homophobe living in your midst:
- Married man
- Nice home w/ perfect lawn
- Well educated
- Workaholic
- Active in his church & community
- Politically conservative
- Vocal right-wing homophobe
...So Jim Bakker lied to the public after all, he was gay according to the description above.

No seriously, most of these findings SCREAM homo!
I also like the last paragraph:
QUOTE
And for our part, let’s stop being so surprised when we discover that our public figures have their own complex sex lives, and start being more suspicious when they self-righteously denounce the sex lives of others.

We have a lot of prejudiced misconceptions in this country. If you removed the last characteristic "-Vocal right-wing homophobe" and replaced it with "-Vocal right-wing defender of children" you would probably get a perfect description of a pedophile (i.e. Foley).
And if you told most USA-ians that a ideologically backward nation had maliciously invaded another country under false pretenses and slaughtered a 100,000 while directly or indirectly causing the death of up to a million they would not recognize their own nation in the picture. Denial, denial, denial (I think three times is the biblical requirement, and a fundamental of fundamentalist Islamic justice too BTW).
We need to get over all the preconceptions and see the damage, both physical and psychological, being done by the denial of reality. The so-called Founding Fathers indulged deeply in that arguement during the Enlightenment. We have betrayed the principals they sought to inscript. As they did themselves through Black African slavery.
Hypocrisy is nothing new and is, as far as I know, colorblind.
