No new names were mentioned, but Chris Matthews indicated he knew of at least one more conservative Republican who is seriously in the closet. Mike outed Craig last October, and also has his own website, which I have tried repeatedly to log onto just now, but must be under attack by either Larry Craig or Fox Noise

, because I seriously cannot connect to it.
Here is the site:

BlogActive.com has gotten a lot of traffic on the site since Sen. Craig's arrest and guilty plea was finally reported in the so-called mainstream media when Roll Call.com posted the story. This is the second time BlogActive.com has crashed in as many weeks. As of this post, I have no idea when the site will be back online.
For what it's worth, I hope more names will be mentioned in the future. Perhaps some light bulbs might finally turn on with some uninformed and/or dense people who still believe Republicans are for family values.

A longtime Republican-leaning member of this board once suggested that a high-ranking Senate Republican was a toe-tapper, so don't be surprised if that shoe drops and more people than nearby stall members hear it...!

Oh no, think Congress, as in another Republican US Senator.
But then Americablog, in a post about
ANOTHER SPECTACULAR GOP SEX SCANDAL MURDER-SUICIDE in Florida, lists four members of Congress who are said to be closet cases, so our Republican Outsports friend knew where from he spoke. (And this was YEARS ago, mind you.)

This isn't the first time I've read someone pinning the pink triangle on Graham or McHenry, but I really doubt this will ever take off. the media squashes this sort of news quickly.

Well, Lindsey Graham sure is photogenic.
And, Patick looks like he was certainly a hottie Hottentot in his earlier days.

I recommend Marc Fisher's Washington Post column on the topic of outing.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...ml?hpid=topnewsFrom the Thursday, September 6 issue of The Washington Post, p. B01, titled
Who Among Us Would Cast the First Stone? This GuyI think it's thoughtful and interesting. The Washington Post has written a few columns about Mr. Rogers and the topic of closeted lawmakers.

Yes, but this columnist forgot to mention the extreme anti-gay behavior of someone like Craig. The original purpose of outing was to expose those who actively worked against the gay and lesbian community, yet were secretly homosexual. That to me is still the only reason to "out" someone. Sure, the Post would love to keep the secrets of all those 'naughty' Republicans, but our political environment demands we play as rough as they do...it's not pretty, but working to hurt gay/civil rights while tapping your toe for little dick dangling just doesn't cut it.

Yeah, we've gone a few rounds on the ethics and morals and pros and cons of outing, and I'm still not convinced it's the the right thing to do. However, in Craig's case, I do think it's entirely valid to bring up his previous behavior and any previous trouble he's had.
I do believe there are unintended negative consequences for outing/reporting, though, and I do believe either marriage equality or ENDA will occur without or despite outing/reporting. I also agree however that Craig and his kind are extremely hypocritical, and that it's a gross abuse of privilege and power to actively support an expansive political agenda of bigotry while cruising bathrooms for sex.
So, hmmm, maybe Rogers is doing the important, necessary work that I just wouldn't have the guts to do myself...

Either way, you just know we haven't heard the last of this type of a story, and I am referring to Craig here...so many similarities between him and Jim West, a few differences, but many similiarities...
