Polls are a waste of time. We need a 16 to 32 team playoff asap. The bias of the polls are ruining college fotoball.

Teams are being ranked highly just to assist a team who's challenging for the National Championship or BCS at large bids because of the need for higher Strength of scheduling.

It's crazy now.

The voters should be banned from future rankings.

Well... Ohio State did also get a vote last week. And before then, in Week 5, Oklahoma and Florida both got 4 votes each. Florida got 7 votes in week 4, too.

I tend to agree with GymMountainEER about this but thought it was interesting to note that other teams were getting votes in earlier polls.

Boy those sure were crazy votes. At this point, my guess is Ohio St will be the only undefeated team at the end of the season, though their road games against Penn State and Michigan will be interesting.

Well, AP and US polls are out. INTERESTING results to say the least.

Teams receiving No. 1 votes in the AP poll:
1. Ohio State (50)
2. South Florida (11)
3. Boston College (1)
4. Oklahoma (1)
5. LSU (1)
12. Arizona State (1)

Teams receive No. 1 votes in the USA Today poll:
1. Ohio State (56)
2. Boston College (1)
3. South Florida (3)

Also worth noting, as we suspected, the two polls are split on who is No. 2. Even though South Florida is ranked behind Boston College in the Coaches poll, they did receive more No. 1 votes. Verrrry interesting.
