Heading to Montreal for a softball tournament over Labor Day weekend. Any other Outsporters going to be there?
I can't wait. I've only been to Motreal once before, but I had a blast. I play for the Ty's Ballbreakers, so if you see us, say hi!

We had a great time in Montreal. Got back last night, though the tournament ended Sunday. Took a couple of extra days to see Montreal and have some fun.
We finished third, capturing the bronze medal. Not bad for a team with many guys who were first time softball players! I'd go back to the Montreal tournament in a heartbeat.
I did have some problems with the tournament, though. Firstly, the awards banquet was held in this way-too-small room at a bar called Sky. After playing four games of softball on Sunday, the last thing we wanted to do was go to a party and have no place to sit. The place was packed, therefore the buffet line was unapproachable.
Second, why oh why must every one of these things have drag queens as the entertainment? I've been to countless softball, bowling and volleyball tourneys and awards ceremonies and 95% of the time a drag queen is the entertainment. Nothing against dragsters, but come on! Are we so limited that we can only enjoy being entertained by a man in a dress and a wig?

Take notes, Outsports Convention organizers!
Congratulations on the tournament finish, George.

Note to self: when packing for Outsports convention, leave wig and Lee Press-On Nails at home.
