We will be sending out an article about the event. It was amazing. The FGG marketing team and the staff and volunteers in San Francisco put on quite a show. The dinner was fabulous. The cocktail reception included a Ketel One vodka loge! It was a towering ice sculpture of a trophy with the Federation of Gay Games 25th year logo etched in the ice at the base, and 2 Ketel One vodka bottles atop 2-12 ft high towers. They had a spiral ice tunnels from the top to the bottom that emptied into your waiting martini glass. Your drink was chilled and mixed. And it was free!

The dinner was amazing - steak and salmon. The presentations were fast, fun and emotionally moving. David Kopay accepted a HERO award. Folks that attended and volunteered for all of the Gay Games were all able to share the moment. Everyone had a chance to celebrate the incredible effort that each group of volunteers and athletes gave for each round of Gay Games.

The Gay Games are in the best shape ever after the success of Chicago Gay Games VII and everyone had a chance for a relaxing feel-good evening. It reminded me of a fantastic HRC dinner, without politics, only sports celebration and awards.
