The Twins are alive and well...while the Expos are, well, alive.

And you know we'll find out just how bad the Expos can get with MLB running the team... Why waste Frank Robinson's time (as rumored) as manager? Surely Dick Williams isn't busy these days? Or that incompetent hardass jerk Dallas Green?

Contraction is NEVER going to happen. The Twins will stay put, the Expos relocate. But next on the agenda should be some sort of federal investigation or special prosecutor to look into Selig's handling of this situation. Blackmail, extortion whatever you may call it, to force the Twins into a new stadium OR ELSE. The conflict of interest in elimainating or moving the Twins based on the fact that he "owns" the team closest geographically. The "loan" from Pohlad. The position of Baseball Commissioner used to be one of dignity and respect. Bowie Kuhn and Bart Giammatti must be rolling over in their graves.

Hardass jerk, perhaps. But incompetent? He won the ONLY World Series title the Phillies have EVER won in over 100 years. Then he went to the Cubs and got them into the playoffs for the first time in many years.

Talk about strange! What about MLB's lawyer testifying before the Senate that they looked at *18* teams as candidates for contraction? Like the Mets and Cubs?
Say what? Strange comments at Congressional hearings (espn.com)I can understand our differing perspectives on Dallas Green, Joe -- perhaps he contributed to that Phils' WS win, but in the '90s he had a way of alienating some of the Basement Mets' few talented players when he was there.
