Hi there,

A friend and I are looking for a good sports bar to watch the Warriors game tomorrow night (Nov 6)? Does anyone have recommendations for the Palo Alto/Mountain View area?

Thanks,
Craig

In the end, we went to a place called The Boardwalk. Technically in Los Altos, it's very near the border with Palo Alto and not too far from Mountain View. The night we went, the place was pretty dead, but they did have 3 TVs, placed in different parts of the room. One of the TVs was a big screen, not HD though. I'd go back but only if we don't find a better place.

The food was OK. Typical pub food: burgers, fish & chips, plus sandwiches and some pasta.

Does anyone ever expect anything other than typical pub fare from a sports bar? Just wondering. smile.gif

We'll have to actually go to Buffalo, NY to the Anchor Bar for the original ones where the recipe was created. I saw a special on the Food Network channel...Oh blueraider, where art thou? tongue.gif

I'll have to check out Applebee's. There's a place near my home that makes them pretty decent. My niece was telling me that one of those pizza delivery chain makes them & they're pretty hot. I don't remember if it was Pizza Hut or Domino's Pizza, perhaps both.

Theosdaddy, my partner says that Popeyes in SF (Bayview-Hunters Pt area) has good hot buffalo wings. They have Popeyes here in LA throughout the city, so I don't know if there are other locations up where you are other than the one I mentioned. In addition, he says that there are lots of other BBQ places in that area that does excellent hot wings.
