Hey guys, I was thinking about planning some camping and kayaking trips for guys in the NYC this spring and summer. Any interest out there?

Honest Question?

Where do you go camping in the city? Central Park? I mean, I remember going from Philly to New York to Boston, and there was city, nonstop all the way. How long do you have to travel to get to a decent camping spot?

Lots of places: Poconos, Catskills, Upstate New York, Pennsylvania -- Long Island even -- all within a few hours travel.

I go camping in Chelsea. Oh, wait, you're talking about a different kind of camping. Never mind.........

Actually Munson Man, wherever you are is camp!

I am originally from upstate NY, about 90 miles north of NYC. And there are many beautiful places to explore. One of my most memorable vacations ever was a long weekend camping at Lake George. Finger Lakes area is also very nice.
