The resurgent Bills become the latest club to try to knock the Pats from the ranks of the unbeaten. Don't think it will happen, but the Bills at home in primetime is a dangerous thing, just ask Dallas.(still trying to figure how the Boys won that one.)
Heck, the Bills have not trailed at any time during any home game during the regular season, except for two times when the clock read 0:00, 4th Quarter
At the other end of the spectrum the Fish visit Philly trying to WIN their first of the season. Prediction here, Philly 13, Miami 10(just like last two Miami games).
Other games of note:
Giants @ Detroit: are the Lions for real???? This may tell just a bit.
KC @ Indy: Braden Coyle v. Peyton Manning....call it even....ok maybe not
Washington @ Dallas: Just because it's Skins vs. the Boys...really.
Dog of the week: St. Louis @ San Francisco...this game could end in a tie.
Oh, yea.....no more bye weeks from here on in btw.

Hey blueraider - our Bills need powerful rookie running back Lynch to play to have a chance. Apparently he did not practice today and is listed as doubtful for Sunday. That makes beating the Pats - which was already a longshot - virtually impossible.

Doomed, we're doomed....
Here's a stat, 23 years ago on the 18th(exact same day of Pats game) an 0-11 Bills team stunned the Dallas Cowboys 14-3. Weird things can happen....
I know, I'm really reaching.

The real reason the Bills will lose this week is because they want the Patriots to get their first loss next week...yeah, like that's gonna happen...

A win for the Bills in week 17 will make their season.
Other news, Dwight Freeney out for the season...can we say Indy-Wild Card team???

Yeah the Bills should win this week, because we all know it's a trap game for the Patriots who are really gearing up for a more important meeting the following week.

PHILADELPHIA - Halfback Brian Westbrook missed practice for the second straight day and is questionable for the Eagles' game against Miami on Sunday with a knee injury.
"I think he'll be ready to go," coach Andy Reid said Friday. "It's not bad. There's a little swelling."

Westbrook ended up running for 148 yards on 32 carries. After McNabb threw two INTs and looked poor, then sprained his ankle and left the game, and after Feeley came in and wasn't much better, the Eagles actually ran the ball heavily and put together two TD drives.
Miami, trailing 17-7, drove to the Eagles' 1. Three plays failed to get the ball into the end zone. On 4th and goal from the 1, under 7 minutes left, you take the field goal, try and get a defensive stop so you have a chance for a game-tying TD. Right? Not if you're Cam Cameron. They not only go for it, but the play call - a pitch to the running back - was atrocious. It went for a 13-yard loss. The Dolphins didn't get the ball back until there were 19 seconds left.
The Detroit loss leaves them at 6-4, and the Eagles are at 5-5. Detroit is the one team the Eagles can definitely beat out in a tiebreaker, thanks to their 56-point explosion in September.
Note to Jim at Outsports: please, please, please don't embarrass yourself by putting the San Diego FRAUDS into your top 10 in the Power Rankings. I'm begging you for your own good.
And let's officially add the Saints to the FRAUD list as well.

The Eagles are hanging on. There is a slight pulse but I'm still not optimistic about the future with McNabb injured and Feeley filling in. Westbrook is the MVP for Philly so its better if he stays healthy over McNabb. Hopefully McNabb has a simple ankle sprain and its not a high ankle sprain. Glad to hear xrays were negative. But, we've got New England, Seattle, Giants, Cowboys, Saints, and Bills remaining on the schedule. I could see Philly going 3-3 through that stretch and end up at 8-8 to end the season. But you never know with this freakin team. They could go 2-4 or 1-5 the way they can play. But, I definitely don't see anything better than 3-3 since New England, Dallas, and the Giants are in that remaining schedule.

GREAT news about Kevin Everett.

Another ho-hum day in the NFL.
The Eagles beat a winless team to go .500 on the season, while visions of last year were revisted with McNabb getting injured right about the same time as last season.
The San Diego Frauds are who we thought they were, overrated, overhyped underachievers.
The Steelers, trying to stay with the upper echelon of the NFL, fall to the lowly Jets.
Dallas and Green Bay continue to win, waiting for their NFC showdown in 11 days.
Even though the game isn't over the Patriots continue their philosophy of take no prisoners just shoot em dead, as the Bill are getting trounced. Can the Eagles next weeks roadkill, just forfeit the game so they can heal up for the rest of the season?
Any one think it's possible to have both a winless and undeafeated team in the same year. If it happens it would be even more amazing in that they are both in the same division.

Bills get slaughtered, Everett's pep talk does little. Belicheat waits til 4th quarter to take the foot of the gas.
Wild ending in Baltimore where refs circumvented replay rules in game tying field goal. In the end they did the right thing in changing the call. I sense field goals will come under review next season as I can't imagine they ever thought there would be a situation that they'd need replay for them until now.
Fish still smell, the '76 Bucs still have champagne on ice.
The Steelers are the last big test on the Pats schedule???
Raise your hands if you had the Pack at 9-1 after 10 games before the season started. BS- you're full of it.
Marty Schottenheimer has a smirk as wide as the state of California.
Arizona and Houston @ .500?
Ocho Cinco is awwwwwwwwfully quiet these days.

It's a mid-November-at-home thing for McNabb. The broken ankle: November 17, 2002 at home. The sports hernia: November 14, 2005 at home. The torn ACL: November 19, 2006 at home. Today's injury: November 18, 2007 at home. Freaky. The Eagles should petition the NFL for four bye weeks next November.
It's interesting that McNabb finished that game on a broken ankle in 2002 but didn't play today after he sprained the ankle -- and it's not even the more serious "high ankle sprain." There is some media speculation that this was a benching with the injury as a convenient excuse, since he was 3-for-11 for 34 yards and 2 INTs. No one will admit this and there will be plenty of sticking up for McNabb this week, but the idea intrigues.

If New England wasn't involved, I'd root for it. The Dolphins would end up
16 games out of first place! The thought of that tickles me to death.

I know no one watches MNF anymore but I thought I'd share my thoughts at the half which I've decided I'd like to call Maddog's Six Pack.
1 - Although they are in my division and I want them to lose, I do admire Lynch and Stokes. They are quality guys in an environment filled with petulance and greed.
2 - LenDale White is gay. It's so obvious that the 56 family members he invited to Mile High have to know. I remember him being the one guy that gave Esera crap during rookie camp last year and now I know why. He's gay.
3 - Save the Outside The Lines stories for Outside The Lines. I don't give a crap about Vince Young's father so why make me hear about it during a FOOTBALL GAME?
4 - I don't mind Jaws and Tirico. So who do we replace Kornheiser with? I'm thinking Chris Collinsworth.
5 - How about that Bironas chap. He got leg.
6 - They really need to fix the "calling time out right before a kicker kicks" thing. Although it worked in my favor tonight, it's ridiculous that it's allowed. What bugs me the most is the impartial referee standing next to the coach waiting for the sucker punch. To me it's strictly amateur hour.
And now back to the second half.

Korny and Jaws sure are slurping on Vince Young (borrowed that slurping phraseology from golfer...). Anywho, I find it interesting they're lavishing compliments on Young but just hours ago, on NFL Live, the commentators were saying hands down that Vince Young is the.most.overrated QB in the NFL. I agree he's overrated, but also find the over- praise by Korny and Jaws a bit odd... almost like someone at ESPN got a call or memo, or somethin'...

The times I had the game on, I had the sound muted. Music is much more entertaining than anything coming out of Kornheiser's mouth.
Did they have another celebrity shill in the both during the game?
