Of course he was repeating lies, and he was and is a liar himself! Is this news? (Not a knock against you, HockeyTom). Will anyone outside the narrow circle of wingnuts really buy this book? Will W and his remaining, ragged gang blink an eye about it?

Unless he's explaining in detail why right-wing gay male prostitute-turned-religious freak Jimmy-Jeff Gannon-Guckert (aka Bulldog) was coming and going so frequently to the White House, I think I can say with assurance that I've heard all the crap he's put into the book before.

Whats hilarious is Dana Perinos' comments. " I am not sure what Scott meant by those comments." Truly a Simpsons moment. DOH!

Exactly. Maybe he thinks that if he points the finger at others, we'll think that he's less guilty.

I think it's definitely newsworthy that the President's ex-press secretary says that Bush also lied to him during the Valerie Plame outing. We knew that Scooter Libby and Cheney were involved, but up until McClellan said so, we really didn't know that Bush lied too. The administration always tried to paint it like Bush was somehow removed from the scandal. Clearly, this was not the case.

So, it's OK for a President to lie to Americans, as long as it's not about getting his d!ck sucked...how could I have been so stupid for all this time? NOW, I get it...

Lies that involve possible treason? Good. Lies about private sex acts? Terrible.

Yeah, makes so much sense... mad.gif

Edited to add: I guess we know why Bush didn't follow through on his promise to fire anyone involved with the scandal...he would have had to resign.

You got it buddy!

this is big news...only in that just when the white house thinks the Plame situation might go away for good, this guy comes out with a confirmation of what everyone already knows: the president and vice president of the united states of america spitefully and purposefully revealed the name of a covert cia operative placing dozens of american lives in danger, and undermining potentially sensitive and useful cia activity..this is treason, this is a war crime, this continues to be a far more outrageous act than people seem to realize...mcCellen was lied to as well and i'm glad he's pissed and out to clear his own name..his book doesn't come out until april but let's bang the drum now...

Listening to him when he was spokesperson for the Bush mob was almost painful. He was so obviously clueless IMO.

See I got a different impression of McClellen when he was the Press Secretary. I thought his uneasiness on the podium was due to his realizing so much of what he was telling us was bullshit and he actually had a modicum of shame/conscience and that made him unable to truly get behind the words he was telling us. At one point he believed in Bush but he watched his "idol" fail him right before his eyes.

Tony Snow was a comapny guy through and through and would actually go out of his way to embarrass and humilate the reporters who would dare to challenge him and this Dana Perino seems like so many of these other women (Condie Rice, Harriet Miers, Kathryn Harris, Karen Hughes) who will wind up sending Bush mash notes when this is all over.

As much as I give people a second look, this guy struck me as a beurocratic little weasel. And now he's making money off his book.
I think I'll buy it. rolleyes.gif

weasel is right. Beady eyed weasel....at that!

This story would be alot more interesting if he quit as soon as he "realized" what was going on instead of just about to hit the talk shows to promote his book.
