Okay, with the new season of LOST beginning on the 31st I thought I'd share an experience that we've had here in Iowa.

A few weeks ago a billboard appeared next to one of our major roads in Ames. The billboard was for Oceanic Airlines. I was thrilled because I knew that it was a teaser billboard for the show. What was interesting was the billboard mentioned new flights to places like London (a clue perhaps).

Well a couple of weeks later graffiti was spraypainted on the billboard. The Ames Police (ever so hot in their uniforms) actually investigated the spraypainting - "find815.com". It's hard to read what the graffiti actually says because the background image is darker and the spraypaint is black, so the words get sort of, um, lost. lol


The Ames Tribune did a story on the billboard and reported that the graffiti is part of the marketing strategy that the advertising agency set up. "find815.com" is an online game that leads up to the season premiere (the guy in the videos on the site is really cute).

So according to the story, there are 9 billboards around the world in the following cities: Los Angeles, Tustin (CA), Ames (IA), Miami, New York, Portland (OR), Knoxville (TN), Seoul and Sydney. These are the hometowns of the main characters on the show!

It's an honor for Ames to be the home of our favorite murderous castaway. :-)

I haven't seen any of the ads here in New York yet. Maybe they've just selected certain cities. Anyway can't wait for January 31st!

The billboards are only in the "hometowns" of the main characters on the show, with Ames apparently being the hometown of Kate (since she's from Iowa, as seen in flashbacks).

Two more days until Season 4 kicks off.

The 2 hour season 3 finale will be reaired tonight in case you missed it or want to watch it again. I will be glued to the set. I thought it was one of the very best season finales ever.

It's the only show that gives me goosebumps, so I am excited of its return. And finally--- I can watch this show without guilt, now that I finally decided to quit school... relief.

Did anyone notice two guys walking, holding hands, in last week's episode? I didn't but it's been mentioned on another site. Could there be a gay couple on the island?

Yes, I saw the gay couple, too. I had to watch the repeat tonight at 8 pm to make sure what I saw last week. As the tribes were splitting between Locke's and Jack's groups, one man held his hand out to another man and joined Locke's tribe. Not much, but we gay Lost fans are looking for crumbs!

What an episode last night, lots of suspense. It seems they are also finally making an attempt to answer some lingering questions (black smoke and the polar bear).

And what about the mean dude that can communicate with dead people - WOW.

Gay guys on Lost?! The last episode was very good-a reason I'm still sticking around this show can still come up with interesting twists...

I didn't notice two guys holding hands. nice that they did that but it would be better to have had one of the leads be gay. And the "extras" survivors have changed alot of Lost so I wouldn't necessarily count on seeing them very often if ever again..

I agree with you Ausmusfan! WOW! What a great finale!! (I also agree that Brad Ausmus is super hot too--but that is for a different thread!!). I really interested in seeing what happened to the people on the raft. I am a big Juliet fan too--so I hope she is OK.
