Enjoy:

Note how the reporter becomes REALLY uncomfortable w/ what Ron says & how Faux News cuts the interview short right after...

Ron's my new hero...I just may consider voting for Ron now. tongue.gif

I heard this comment from Paul yesterday during " Hardball" with Chris Matthews. Interesting comment for sure. smile.gif

Yeah, very interesting, I'm glad someone put it in perspective like that.

The same Ron Paul who just agreed to keep a donation from a white supremacist, AND who refused to vote for the renewal of the 1964 Civil Rights Act!!! rolleyes.gif Yeah...good thing he won't be president.

Here's an interesting blog commentary on Paul and his shady donors.

Oh you just had to ruin my day didn't you. tongue.gif ...
I knew about who he is. I was just happy (& I found it quite interesting) that Ron Paul made those Faux News Reporters squirm. It was too classic to not point out. I may not agree w/ most of his politics, but I sure agree w/ his description of "flag-wrapped, cross & bible thumping fascists" that's all.

My bf was telling me about this info re: why Paul accepted the money...Not that I'm defending his decision, but it certainly sheds some light on it.

What does PWNED mean?

It's an exaggeration of "owned"

Great response by Ron Paul- I'm sure the Fox robot was shocked when he quoted Sinclair Lewis- and please Huckabee's "cross" is not accident- the camera pans and frams the "bookshelve" to clearly form a cross- I"m sure there are subliminal angels somewhere too!

Ron Paul's candidacy is important for a lot of reasons, but one of them is that he's the only Republican (just as Kucinich and Gravel are the only Democrats) to relentlessly challenge the mainstream Washington orthodoxy about what this government's continuous, still astonishing law-breaking, lying, fascistic behavior, and criminality.

Paul also has some very loony and dangerous ideas, such as being extremely anti-abortion, anti-taxes, and so on, and yes, he's attracting a hardcore racist following. As a person, and as a Black person, this troubles me tremendously. But part of this is that he's one of the few who keeps hammering this lawless president on his violations of the US Constitution, and many of the white surpemacist and Neo-Nazi types in this country have a strong anti-government bias, which the Republican Party has fostered while also using our government as a cash machine for corporations and well-connected, anti-meritocratic insiders. ("Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job!")

Why isn't there more outrage out there about the government's and telecoms' illegal spying on us? This didn't start after 9/11, but JUST WEEKS AFTER BUSH TOOK OFFICE! Why on earth did he authorize this? Why? Can anyone find a legitimate explanation? And if he was spying on Americans--not foreign terrorists in Afghanistan and his fave nation of Pakistan, but people IN THIS COUNTRY--why on earth did 9/11 happen? I know it's passé to bring up this worst terrorist attack on US soil in our history, especially in light of the ongoing disaster in Iraq, which the next president is going to have to deal with, but seriously, what the hell were Bush and Cheney doing or not doing? Why were they spying on us months before 9/11?

Then there's the billions of dollars this fiscally irresponsible president is borrowing FROM CHINA and SAUDI ARABIA and Lord knows who else to finance his illegal war. Aren't Republicans supposed to be about fiscal responsibility? Aren't they? Don't they spout that claptrap at every opportunity they can? That money is going to have to be paid back, but most of the major Democratic candidates, like their bonkers Republican opponents, refuse to say much of anything about this.

And guess what: everyone on Outsports who has a job and pays taxes is going to be stiffed with the bill for decades--DECADES--to come. You don't get something from nothing. We're going to get nothing from nothing and pay for it till our pockets are empty. Paul, like Kucinich, realizes this, and is saying it. I find most of his views abhorrent, but on the issue of Bush's lawlessness, this illegal war, the Christo-fascism of Bush, Huckabee and others, and the destruction of our Constitution, I have to say I agree with him.

Perhaps paranoia? Something similar to that of Richard Nixon during the Watergate era. Crooks always think they can do better at avoiding getting caught than the previous ones.

Ah, but he has political capital from his reelection and has informed us that he intended to spend it. So we should have known he was a spendthrift. rolleyes.gif

This administration reminds me of the wild west risk-takers with whom we as a nation have always been fascinated.

Some of whom were lawmen-turned-bad or "false" Robinhoods. What is needed is a good sheriff who will show them the prison door. Personally I think John Edwards is that sheriff. I don't think Ron Paul could do it.

Those are good points fantomas. And yes, I agree, I think that his candidacy is important while we continue to seek our next president. We need someone calling out the Repubs on much of their agenda(s) which will in turn force people in this country to think. Of course, Paul will never become president, but his vocal outcries will at least cause healthy political discussions.

Well I don't care what anyone says. I like RuPaul, always have. And I don't think theres anything wrong with a black drag queen running for president. This is the kind of stuff that make America so great. All of us have the opportunity to shoot for the top.

There should also be outrage aboiut Bush flying members of the bin Landen family out of the U.S. on private jets while all aircraft was still grounded in the days following 9/11
