Since many of us here are excited 'bout Monica competing on this year's show I thought I'd start the official DWTS thread. Here's this year's DWTS lineup vying for the title.

Monica Schmonica. Give me Jason Taylor in one of those skimpy Maks outfits!

He's 6'6" and 255#. Can that combination really be graceful?

I'm anxious to see how Marlee Matlin does.The hearing impairment will be a challenge,no doubt.

I've seen/met hearing impaired individuals @ gay clubs over the years & they've explained to me that they listen/feel the beat to the music & thus move to it. The one's I met could "cut up the dance floor" w/ absolutely no problem. ...

But then again, I'm talking about gay men & that in & of itself would give them a clear advantage to the so-called notion of "rhythm."

Thankfully this season, I'm not friends with anyone's fiance from this show!!

Some people have commented to me that I resemble your pal Helio.

CRISTIÁN DE LA FUENTE! He is so damn hot. You may remember him as the hunky gay boyfriend Aaron on the short-lived CBS series "The Class," last year... or also as the hunky Manolo on the short-lived and extremely underrated NBC series "Hidden Hills," like 6 or 7 years ago. "Hidden Hills" was way ahead of its time (a single-camera comedy with no laugh track a la "Arrested Development").

Hopefully he stays around for a long time this season. He's paired with Cheryl Burke.

Jason Taylor! And, tacky as it may seem, I've always thought Steve Guttenberg is hot (though I haven't seen him in a while).

I'd love to know Monica's motivation for doing this...it's clear to me by the timing of all this that Monica decided to officially retire a while ago...she must have committed to DWTS weeks if not months ago...the time commitment is huge for this show...hmmmm? Is she looking to use this as a springboard for something else?

Now we on the west coast have to switch back and forth between Idol's second hour and Dancing's first...but hey, Monica's on TV, looking very lean, very glamourous... Please God, let her be able to dance...

Oh sweet Monica....it's so great to be able to see her live, see her personality up close...and I give her serious kudos for doing something so far out of her comfort zone...but, well, she's not a dancer. Great romantic feeling during her dance but the stiffness was impossible to miss...

Oh that girl from Hairspray...oh...

And Priscilla with the plastic surgery....scary.

No seriously, I was VERY disappointed. Maybe next week, otherwise, can we say "Bye bye!"

Hey Bryan...do I know you from another life or something?!

On the plus side, Monica looked fantastic, didn't she?!? And if you compare how she looked when she first started to her performance on the show, she did improve quite a bit. That said, uh, not so good. As for the other contestants, Kristi Yamaguchi is a ringer. If she doesn't win, I'll be shocked. Priscilla Presley's face looks like something straight out of Madame Tussaud's. You could just see the botox dripping from her pores. But even if her face doesn't move, her body sure did, especially for a 62-year-old. She was so much better than I expected. Finally, I can't believe that Marlee Matlin is profoundly deaf. Watching her performance, I never would have believed it. I kept looking to see if she was out of time to the music, but couldn't spot anything. Then Bruno confirmed that she was on the beat during the entire routine. That is simply astonishing.

De La Fuente was surprisingly stiff... Mario can definetly shake his ass...and that big guy Jason Taylor was very graceful...

Oh my lord...I had no idea my baby daddy Jason Taylor was on this season's DWTS. I hadn't watched it yet and I happened to flip to it tonight and only saw Monica and Mario. Monica looked great but danced A HOT MESS!! The technique and footwork were just sloppy, and she got off rhythm. Poor thing, but she's Monica so I'm rooting for her no matter what. Mario danced very well with Karena. I only saw the recap of Jason Taylor dancing. Mmmmm his ass in those tight black pants was so nice!! Because of him I'll definitely be watching from now on.

Jason Taylor is very very hot- next to all the pro-dancers and those amazingly tight pants.

I think the judges are being a little ridiculous as usual.

Poor Monica. I mean, long before she ever took a step in her dancing shoes, I figured she'd be the first to go. She was never a graceful mover! But I wanted her to surprise everyone and stick around one more week.

Thankfully, though, I can now return to my life and never have to watch another episode of this horrible show.

I'm just surprised at how much money the stars get paqid for this gig. I was reading the Heather Mills divorce papers an it says she was paid $200K for her stint on the show. Not bad for D list celebrities in search of a career boost.

Ok so tonight is the first time I've actually sat down and watched each performer. The only basic reason that happened was because they saved Jason Taylor for second to last. Had he gone first I would've been flipped the channel cuz I could care less about the other performers. I just want to see those cakes shake. Lord that man is GORGEOUS!!!!!!

Everyone else was ok. Mario disappointed tonight and Priscilla Presley's face is almost hard to look at. But, she danced very well. That was a very sexy tango. The rest I really didn't pay much attention to. The minute Jason Taylor goes home I'm done with even attempting to care about this show.

Thanks for letting me know that he's next to last. I'll tune in at about a quarter til. It's the only reason I watch as well.
