I was reading Towleroad and Andy had a story about Patrick Swayze only having 5 weeks left to live. I almost fell out of my seat. WHAT??? Granted, the source of the story is the National Enquirer, so who knows how much truth is in this story. However, apparently Swayze's rep confirmed to Page Six that Swayze has pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. this is so sad.
I loved Swayze in "Dirty Dancing", "The Outsiders", "Red Dawn" and "Too Wong Foo" as the fabulous Vida Boheme.

"All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic."

Pancreatic cancer is usually a quick death sentence. The only person I ever heard of surviving it was Steve Jobs, who had it a couple of years ago but now seems to be fine.
Swayze died today...he fought and hung in alot longer than anybody thought.
RIP Auntie Vida.
