Am I still the only dork who still is addicted to Survivor? Or maybe its my addiction to Ozzy. He is still fine.

I got tired of it.It seems like basically the same thing every year. For awhile I was watching Big Brother and Survivor and it got to the point where I couldn't distinguish the contestants from one show with the other.
Also,I really can't tolerate Jeff Probst!
Bryan
My addiction to Ozzy will never end.

The fans vs. favorites is a cool idea - it's enlivened the show a bit. I always catch it on comcast on demand so I can skip the commercials and watch it late.

I'm really glad Joel got kicked off as I wanted to kick him into traffic after his cruel punishment of Chet. Granted, Chet is useless, a whiny lazy guy who's still there because the victim women are so bitter - but when Joel dragged Chet around, it was the cruelest thing I've ever seen on Survivor. I would have wrapped that rope around his neck and ended Joel's misery right then and there. Chet gives gay a very bad name but Joel's the epitome of an lughead *sshole.

Ozzy is amazing. Best athlete, swimmer, competitor ever on Survivor...hands down.
Rick62
I agree that Joel did act like a bully, but Chet is useless. He quits on challenges and he does nothing to help around camp. If he is such a fan, then he should know that Survivor 101 is to be useful around camp. I do not like the way the show is evolving. When Survivor first started, it was more like a 'survival of the fittest' contest. Now it is like kick out the strongest members so the weaker ones can go further.
Maddog
I agree. That is why I probably won't watch until there is an all-male, military themed Survivor. 4 branches, 4 tribes, 16 of the fittest soldiers in the country, 1 Survivor.

Oooh, tongue.gif I like this idea. Have them all wear those skimpy workout shorts. tongue.gif And the ratings would hit the roof.

I couldn't watch this go-round, just couldn't bear it, but is James still on there? I want him to have his own reality show.

Agree with all of the above Bryan. biggrin.gif

Another good episode last night. I was soooo afraid that they were gonna get Ozzy out. That would so piss me off as I love to watch (look) at him...LOL. I thought it was tough that Jonathan had to leave but come on dude all that crying???? Hummm ....you want to continue play Survivor or risk losing your leg or your life. He needs a realilty check.

From a "strategery" point of view they were stupid not to blindside Ozzy though.
CHIathlete
Wow, the double injuries last night clearly will have a huge impact on the game. Had Jon not been medivac'd, and Chet forced to leave because of his injury (and, well...because he's Chet), this would have been an entirely different game.

Now, instead of Ami joining forces with Erik/Tracy/Chet and booting Ozzy, we will instead get a predictable Tracy boot next and the power couples x2 (plus Cirie) will dominate this game. How boring. And on the Airai tribe, had Jonathan stayed we could have seen him and Eliza team up with the remaining fans there and break up the power couples.

I'm so disappointed with the turn of events.
Rick62
I was very disappointed in last nights episode. I cannot believe that Chet would let Tracy and Eric down like that. I too am a big Ozzy fan, but it would have been the smartest move to blindside him last night. Cirie is getting on my nerves. I loved her when she played on her season, but she is so high on herself in this one. She is riding the coattails of the other competitors just like she did in her season. They could have used Joel last night during the immunity competition. It was sad to see Jonathan leave. He is a great competitor!!

Chet is by far the worst Survivor contestant EVER! But it was really dumb that they didn't vote Ozzy out when they had the chance.
WoodysMarlins
I am really now pissed that Joel got voted off, especially now that Chet quit. They could have gotten ird of that sad sack last week and keep Joel. Ozzy would have been out this week for sure if Joel was around. I am surprised though that 2 got eliminated. I thought they would have bypassed the tribal council since Jonathon left....(sidebar...I'm gonna miss those blue eyes of his... sad.gif ......)
I'm not sure but I thought they did that when that one guy burned himself some years ago.

I agree with you Woody! They should have voted off Ozzy! He was so sure that he was safe. It will be harder and harder as the game goes on to blind side him.
Ballbusters
Great episode last night as Ami really made a passoniate plea to stay on the show. She even pulled out alot of tears but in the end Ozzy gets his way. Little Eric gets to stay. Its almost like Ozzy is Eric's hero, I wonder if he will stay true to Ozzy or will he align back with the fans after the merge.

After the merge I think the girls we get rid of James and Ozzy pretty quick as they both would be impossible to beat in the final vote
CHIathlete
Oh man, I felt so bad for Ami. She had so much heart for the game and it was heartbreaking to see her in tears like that. In the end that bully Ozzy got his way.

I liked Ozzy quite a bit in his 1st season, but he's turned into such a villain for the Micronesia season. I'll be so glad when they blindside his ass.
Rick62
I felt bad for Ami too. They could have blindsided Ozzy a few votes ago, but Chet could not tough it out for another week! I am really starting to like Jason. He did a phenomenal job at the challenge. Pavarti can go at anytime. She called Jason a loser when she has done NOTHING but flirt. Cirie is starting to get on my nerves too. She acts like she is some awesome player, but she is riding everyone else's coattails like she did in the season she played. I would love to see either James, Ozzy, Erik or Jason win, but it will probably be one of the skanks!! I am actually starting to like Eliza better!!

Erik and Jason set my heart aflutter. There are just the hottest guys on tv today.

I believe that last nights episode will go down as one of the most memorable in the Survivor. Bigtime fan favorite (and my personal fav) got totally blindsides at tribal council and was voted out. Ozzy was stunned. Of course Cerie was at the center of this blindside and honestly it was a great tactial move by her although I cant stand her. Ozzy was definitely out-witted last night. I will miss watching him on the show, man he is good-lookin.

If she makes it to the end, Cerie should win just on this move alone in my opinion. Ozzy trusted the women and look where it got him.................a good life lesson.....LOL
LoveJavy
I agree. That was a great episode. I was really hoping Ozzy would whip out his immunity idol. I'm disappointed in him! And FOR him! He almost saw it coming, it seemed from the clips they showed before the vote. Smart move by the girls, though. I just hope they don't get rid of James, too. That is the most gorgeous, sexy stud ever on TV. It's like watching a Falcon video every week on CBS.
softballstud
Wow, an amazing ending. Definitely ranks #1 in Survivor history of blindsides. SO glad the cocky and controling Ozzy is gone, and it's even more delicious the way he left. I mean he didn't even bring the damn idol with him - DUMB DUMB DUMB. I loved how Eliza enjoyed that ending too, I thought she was gonna fall off that jury bench. hehe

Oh, and did anybody go to cbs.com/survivor and check out Survivor: Ponderosa, life in the jury camp.
Bryan
I'm very surprised he didn't play the Idol as there were clear signs he was being targeted. It was a moment of arrogance on Ozzy's part...and he usually plays things calmly and clearly. Cirie is the queen of the weak, the one who grabs power through passive aggressiveness and dishonesty...and it worked. The women have prevailed through deception - it'll be fun to watch them turn on themselves and falter. James is strong and straight forward but his anger towards the women will do him in. Cirie always laughs at those who are happy or strong...she'll go far until everyone realizes what an angry shrew she really is...It's hard to pick a winner at this point - James is doing quite well though he's gotten lucky a few times and is just too transparent.
George Twins fan
I haven't really been following too closely this season but caught a few episodes On Demand this week. After watching that smug little prick Ozzy sit there and laugh when Jason gave that girl the bogus immunity idol that he carved and then laugh at Jason again after doublecrossing him, I just loved him getting backdoored like he did.

Also I saw a guy at the gym yesterday who looked soooo familiar but I couldn't place him...turns out it was Rob Cesternino from Season 6 and 8 (okay I had to look up his name and seasons!). If it wasn't him, it was his twin brother. He looked really good. And oddly, he is the second Survivor I have seen at my gym...a couple of years ago I saw Ethan.
Rick62
I actually was feeling really bad for Jason! I am starting to really hate Cirie! I will give her credit for masterminding this back door, but she thinks she is soooo great at this game. Someone should tell her that this is not elementary school and crossing your fingers behind your back does not take away the fact that you lied. Pavarti is getting annoying too. She had to be given this immunity challenge. I doubt if she wins another. Amanda looked really disappointed when they told her that they were not going to honor their word to Jason. She quickly agreed, but it looked like she was a little surprised. I still have a hard time distinguishing between Natalie and Alexis. The guys would be smart if they started to align and bring Amanda with them or they will soon be picked off.
WoodysMarlins
I'm writing this while still watching tonight's show....Just need to vent a bit...

HOW STUPID IS JASON???????????????????
Texas Daytripper
Another stupid man bites the dust.

Could the women finally stick together and have an all women final?
Bryan
Jason's the dumbest guy ever! The girls are in full c*nt mode with the enormously idiotic Nat leading the way...this season is all about lying, the lame skill of lying...If only James had been smart enough to organize something with the two dumb blondes, Eric and Jason, they could have avoided the oh so obvious sharp claws of these not so special bimbos...and Cirie is the ultimate 'let everyone self-destruct and sow seeds of dissent' and then see if she might come out okay...Survivor's finished...

Yes, the woman do become the first Survivor all-female Final 5. Erik and James going in the next two weeks.

I would say it seems Cirie is getting the 'winners' edit right now. Parv will have pissed off too many jury members to win anything, thus making her the perfect Final 2 (or 3) opponent.

Final 3 - Parv, Cirie, Natalie?
WoodysMarlins
I can not believe that James, Amanda, or Eric, for that matter could not think of pulling Jason aside and tell him to play the Idol and all of them vote out either Parvati or Natalie. It was soooo simple. Natalie has come out of nowhere to become an all out bitch.
But what could have been possibly one of the best Survivors ever is quickly going right down the tube because of the players's stupidity.

I agree with you 100 % Woody! I really liked how the season started, but now I feel that I don't really want to watch anymore this season (especially with all the other options on Thursdays). I think that Survivor is starting to lose it luster especially when the power players are getting voted out earlier and earlier in each season.
CHIathlete
Jeff Probst is quoted in TV Guide this week as saying:
"This week, the idol comes into play again in a completely different way. Something that's never happened before with the idol, happens"

Wow, this could only mean the Immunity Challenge winner does something really REALLY stupid! lol

Just dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb! James has been proven not the dumbest Survivor ever for the 3rd time... in one season... with all jury members! LOL

Dumbest. Player. Ever.

I still find that player incredibly hot though, for whatever reason. Maybe I'm living in bizarro world.

Yep, Eric will go down as the dumbest contestant ever. I was kinda rooting for him since he was the last dude but now I am embarrassed to admit that. What a bonehead............talk about dumb, no wonder he is an ice cream boy.

....and I can't believe he bought into the logic, that he needed to prove himself with the jury. Surley folks that were bitter with the girls would have voted him. And a strong challenge run doesn't hurt your resume either. What a disappointment, especially given there was a good chance he'd win the next immunity challenge too. ::sigh::

So who does everyone want to win now?

It's funny, in their previous seasons I loved Cirie and did not care for Amanda. This season it's reversed, while I feel Cirie is the smartest remaining player, she has stepped on many toes during all of her brilliance. Amanda has played a great game, wouldn't mind her winning at all. She will certainly need to improve her question answering though, she was horrible with that in Survivor: China.

*Sidenote: I DEFINITELY do not find Erik hot.....eeeesh.
Mariner Duck Guy
The last boot I saw was a few weeks ago so I tuned in last night and glaf that I did. WOW. Un-frackin-believable. Stupid, stupid, stooooopid!

I hope Amanda or Cirie wins because I just can't stand Parvati...poverty and Natalie.
dfwAggie99
I'm fairly certain this wouldn't have happened if Eric were gay. I mean, come on. Those women decide to flash some boob or bat their eyelashes a little, and his naive ass completely falls for it. Look at Todd last season. No chance of him getting distracted, and he ultimately won the game. The guys this season were just complete morons...from Ozzie, to Jason, to James, and finally Eric. So infuriating...

Another thing...I don't understand these people that get on the show and need to make friends. If you are more worried about being a good person than winning the damn money, just stay home. Don't waste your time. I would rather leave without my dignity or self-respect but have my million, than leave a good person and broke. I don't need to talk to any of those people again...screw them.
WoodysMarlins
I'm still shaking my head about Eric.

Anywho, I think Natalie doesn't have a shot if she doesn't win immunity. She's the only fan among the faves and they won't keep her. Should come down to Natalie and Cirie. But does anyone know what would happen if, for example, out of the final 3, one gets a vote, the other 2 gets 3 votes and there is a tie. How will they break that?
George Twins fan
There won't be three to choose from. Two people will get eliminated during the two hour finale tonight.

Are you sure? According to my TV Guide, only 1 reward and immunity is available- and since the jury already has 6 people, adding a 7th would give them an odd number. Usually when there were only 2 finalists, only 7 people sat on the jury versus the 8 that two eliminations would bring tonight...

My guess in the case of a tie would be that the 3rd person would be eliminated and that a revote among the 7 jury members would be taken... or that the 3rd place contestant would then be asked to make a tie-breaking vote.
George Twins fan
Hmm...well they've never had three to choose from before. The whole concept when getting to the final three has always been who the last immunity winner thinks they have a better chance against with the jury.

Actually for the past several seasons, there has been a Final 3 and three selections for the vote.

Looks like that is changing back this time around.
George Twins fan
Oh...I haven't watched the past couple of seasons...but now how do they break a tie?
George Twins fan
Okay the tie wasn't a concern but I wonder what they would have done if it had been. Anyway, I can't believe Parvati won. She didn't win anything the whole season. Amanda was a trong player. And those jury questions, especially from Nat and Alexis, were ridiculous. And how pathetic did Ozzy look? "Oooh you hurt my feelings". He ran around all cocky and then someone had the nerve to challenge his reign and he's crying like a little baby.
kick
I was disappointed that Parvati won. She was taking credit for a lot happening in the game that Cirie was responsible for. Cirie definitely deserved to win this season. Amanda's problem once again this season is that she seemed to just coast along in the game too long before winning and making decisions...

The Fans really got a weaker edit this season and got screwed at the end of the season in the fan voting for giving 100,000 to the player most liked to be watched. I think that it should have gone to one of the newer contestants.... I love James, but it is greedy to get it 2 years in a row and from what I understand- he gets a very good edit by the producers, but is pretty much an arrogant ass....
Rick62
I was very disappointed that Pavarti won. I thought Amanda played a better game including winning immunity challenges! The jury vote is so subjective. It looks like Natalie came out of the closet!! I cannot believe that Eliza voted for Pavarti!! It was weird because people had a problem that Amanda is very cute, but had no problem that Pavarti was flirting!! I was impressed on how well that Eric handled the kidding and the criticism of his HUGE mistake. This Survivor got off to a slow start, but I felt it was a very entertaining season. I don't care how far Chet went, I consider him one of the weakest competitors that ever played. BTW- Ryan one of my favorite guys from a previous season got married to Mary during the airing of this season!! That was a shocker!!
