No this isn't a story from one of the supermarket tabloids or a remake of the classic movie starring the now-Governor of California. An Oregon man who used to be a woman will be on Oprah today to show his, er, her sonogram.

Well I'm not sure how it all works but he would seem to have been at least taken testosterone for quite a while. I have to wonder how this could affect the baby.

So this person has not had a sex change, then? Because a female-to-male sex change would include removal of the uterus, would it not?
And did he marry his wife as a man (which would imply sex change) or as a woman (which would be same-sex)?
And receiving gender reassignment surgury or receiving hormones to change your gender... and then going off them, being artificially inseminated... who was the doctor supervising all of this?
It all seems very medically questionable to me. And who knows what that hormone stew will do to the child.

i'm happy for them, but at the same time, I am worried for their safety.

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but is it the case that all a woman needs to do to legally "become a man" is have reconstructive chest surgery? (which begs the question, what does it take for a man to be "legally" a woman?)
I just can't see this as a "man" having a baby. It's a lesbian who's had her breasts removed having a baby. Where am I going wrong here?
